Thank You Shonda!! That is the best news I have heard all week. Now I can start back watching Grey’s again.
Don’t forget why we tune in to the show. Meredith doens’t deserve Derek but we have to have them together. It’s great news that your finally on our page with this. Derek calls Meredith the love of his life. You don’t let that go, you fight for it. Meredith needs some professional help and then needs to win him back.

I agree with Joy – I don’t want them together either. I hate Meredith and wanted Derek with someone else. Leave her and her drama of the day behind. Put her with George, they could whine together. Perfect match.
This show is going to go from hot to not after they settle down together.
I’m with Joy et al – Mer is sooo whiny and self centered. Derek deserves better. I think we need to move off this story line and onto someone else for both of them.
Well, look…a show always wants to keep a couple apart for as long as possible…but after season 3 there was absolutely no reason that they weren’t together. The writers have run out of ways to keep them apart.
Simply the best news ever for this show! I’m just too excited and while I’m cautious, there’s just no other characters on the show that are like Mer/Der. Thank you Shonda!

Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo have so much chemistry together playing the characters Meredith and Derek. The only problem is-Shonda waited THIS long. Two fantastic actors who have deserved to have better happen to these characters, so I really look forward to where a steading ongoing relationship will take them. It’s very good news about Mer/Der.
