Cue the high-pitched squeals: VH1 is greenlighting a reality series in which eight male teen idols from the 1980s and ’90s shack up together and reflect on the highs and lows of heartthrobbery. After receiving mentoring from a life coach and industry experts, each one decides whether to attempt a career comeback or to swear off Hollywood for good. Executive producers on the still-untitled show — which is slated to debut early next year — include Scott Baio and Jason Hervey, who know a thing or two about teen fame (Baio with Happy Days, Hervey with The Wonder Years) and VH1 (Scott Baio is 45…and Single, Scott Baio is 46…and Pregnant).

Given how amusing the Scott Baio reality shows have been up to now I hope this holds pace. It will be interesting to watch how well some of them can come to grips with the fact that a comeback won’t materialize.
They need to get Mitch’s son from Baywatch. That would be great.
Oh lordy… this may be more depressing than entertaining.
Jason Hervey was a “heartthrob”? We are talking about the meatheaded older brother from the Wonder Years right?
i’d definitely watch this.
Scott Baio. Jason Hervey. Please take your fake reality and go away. PLEASE!
The girls who know these 2 heart throbs are the ones who grew up watching them. We have husbands the same age. Why would we take on their midlife belly-aching as well. Young people won’t care because they can’t remember them. Idiots. This is so in the toilet.
I think Scott’s show was one of the real gems of “reality tv.” We dont really get good ones and I hope this one is good too.
Everyone always has a soft spot for their first crush. Scott Baio was mine, so I watch his show, even though it isn’t great. I think this show will get decent ratings because those of us who were teens back then are going to tune in to see the guys we were in love with on TV!
I’ll definitely watch this!
Jason Bateman, Joey Lawrence, Kirk Cameron…oh, wait, they’re all still in the biz.
I loved Scott’s shows. I’d rather see “Scott Baio is 47 and a Father”.
scott baio is an immature jerk – hard to believe he is a husband and father now – kudos to renee for staying with him – could scott really be that much of an assh***
Anyone remember Tony DiFranco? Flash in the pan teen heartthrob (and, yah, had his posters on my walls) but I saw him not long ago in a “where are they now” show and OMFG he grew up GOOOOOOOD. Please please please, Scott, put Tony in your show! It will be nice to have eye candy to help counter what other heartthrobs have grown into
Love Scott Baio is…single and… pregnant. They were very entertaining because Scott was willing to share his honest feelings with all of America. I found him completely childish and immature at time, but I liked the shows. I will give this show a watch to see if I like it.
