Jimmy Fallon to take over for Conan O'Brien in '09

Fallon was funny, but with the other members of SNL. (He and Tina Fey are my favorite Update team ever). There is no way he can carry a show by himself.
I am very sad that Conan will leave Late Night. Because he is on the earlier time slot, he probably will have to tone down his comedy.

Jimmy Fallon not having any memorable characters on SNL? Not true. One of the most memorable characteristics of Jimmy is that he was funny in everything he did, in or out of character, just like Sandler. He is the perfect choice for Conan’s replacement.

This is the second year in a row that American Idol has had a
songwriting contest. Since the contest ended last year I’ve
researched the contestants from last year and this year….FYI there
were over 25,000 entries last year at $10.00 for each song. 20 songs
were then chosen out of the 25,000 for an online vote. The winner’s
song is then performed on the American Idol Finale. The problem I
have is that one of THIS years Top 20 Finalist is a Co-writer of LAST
years Top 20 Winner.
Somebody from American Idol has some explaining to do.

jimmy fallon blows hard. he hasnt done anything remotely funny in his whole career, not to mention he’s disappeared from the map over the last few years (thank god). i cant wait to see fallon laugh at his own jokes (by own, i mean jokes that someone else wrote) and bore the crowd to death. i think conan is alright, a bit of an old hat. all true late night talk show junkies know letterman will always reign supreme (although daily show and especially colbert report are far more entertaining)
