Moonlight…..cancelled?!? Wow, that just totally destroyed what was already a bad day……

    Moonlight?!! Nooooo……… Why??!!!
It was the only new show I watched this year (Ok Terminator:SCC as well). But it was always a strange fit for CBS. Maybe if they had called it CSI: Moonlight it would have done better.

Moonlight! Sniff. My life is sadly lacking in joy without a weekly dose of Jason Dohring.

  • Camille Dickinson

No more moonlight? And Gary leaving CSI? I really hope FOX picks up moonlight cause then I’ll switch to Fox.

If you want to tell CBS that you are upset with their decision you can call 323-651-0255. You will reach a real person. I called and they say they are taking votes and that “nothing is official until tomorrow”. Then you can leave a message at on their Moonlight comments line. Hey it is worth a shot

I would to see Dancing with the stars back in the fall of this year.Next year 2009.I Enjoy watching it a lot

I watched the pilot of Moonlight back in the fall and thought it was terrible so I stop watching. After hearing people say it was really good more recently though, I was bored a few weeks ago and gave it another chance. The pilot still sucked (which is a shame, as it probably would have had a bigger audience if it was as good as what followed), but it improved markedly in the second episode and continued to improve throughout the season. I’m really disappointed in CBS now. :(

katie, thanks for the number to call CBS. Hopefully tons of people will see your post and call to give them a piece of their mind! Go, Moonlight! Boo, CBS!

    Moonlight was my favorite show.
I am sad about this news.
I hope Fox picks it up.

I am crushed that they are cancelling this show. After the blood drive and the People’s Choice Award, CBS kicks the only interesting drama they had to the curb.
I think that another network should snatch up Moonlight and all the fans that will come with it. I wonder if the producers/directors/writers/actors are using their weight to try and get the showed picked up by another network, or if they have just washed their hands of it. Poor Alex O, he has been through this show through all kids of crap and they STILL cancelled it.
Low ratings don’t mean no one is watching. It just means that people are DVRing, TIVOing, or watching the eps on line. The show is sooooo loved and popular. Why is CBS so blind to that?

  • B

Awww… that sucks, we LOVE Moonlight! Um, hello CBS – do ANY of your Friday shows get more than 7 million viewers? Cause I’m pretty sure hardly anyone watched t.v. Friday nights… we don’t, we DVR Moonlight. Typical – put a show on the second-worst possible night and cancel it cause it doesn’t meet their unrealistic expectations for viewership. Sheesh….

  • Joy

They cancelled Shark too? Oh, my gosh!
Seriously, they need to fire all the suits and get new ones who actually have the acumen to keep a great show on the schedule. James Woods is an actor with a capital A; CBS is making a HUGE mistake cancelling that show.
They should remember that not every TV viewer is in the under 30 demographic. Why can’t there be room for everyone?
Speaking of the younger viewers…it was dumb to cancel Moonlight. Especially now, with those young adult vampire novels being all the rave (plus those of us who miss Angel), there are people who want that kind of show. It was fun and I will miss its campiness. Oh, well.
My heart goes out to all the people who are now back on the unemployment line. First, the writer’s strike, and now getting laid off right before the impending actor’s strike. It’s sad.

I am so ticked off that CBS cancelled Moonlight. I hope another network picks up the show. I think they do need to fire the suits – they obviously are idiots!
