I am sooo over Ms. Heigl. But then again, I was never…under her. I’ve just never understood all the fuss about her. Marginal actress. I suppose she’s attractive. If you don’t mind someone’s eyes looking in different directions. Personally, that would give me the heebie-jeebies.
“I did not feel I was given the material…to warrant a nomination”….yeah, whatever Heigl. You didn’t provide the acting that would warrant an Emmy nomination either.
I find it funny that some people find her “honesty” so refreshing. I wonder how they’d feel if they were on the receiving end of that honesty. Heigl is low-class, always has been. She acted up like a petulent child on Roswell and now she’s doing it again. When she got engaged, she talked about their sex life in interviews. She’s bragged about all of the free stuff she gets because she’s a “star.” She just doesn’t know when to shut up. She’s tacky. Always has been, always will be. I’ll enjoy watching her fall.
Well, maybe if they get rid of her I can start watching Grey’s Anatomy again. I just couldn’t take her anymore, but the writing wasn’t the problem.
Heigl is a wonderfully talented actress who is not afraid to speak her mind. The sad thing in Hollywood it seems is that women aren’t allowed an opinion. If an intelligent and strong woman expresses an opinion she is labelled as ungrateful. She is supposed to just smile, look pretty and say how wonderful things are. I don’t think the comments were particularly directed at the writers but more at the producers for some of the storylines. And the fact is she is right – her character has had some stupid stories. Why shouldn’t she be allowed to voice that? The press sure didnt keep quiet about it. How can they criticise her for agreeing with them? As for the Roswell thing – she was one of the few cast members who didnt publicly express a desire to leave the show. Jason Behr, Brendan Fehr and Majandra Delinfo all expressed that opinion when it moved to UPN and got a nasty letter from Fox about remembering their obligations to show when they missed a press conf.
She needs to just go. Grey’s would be better off without her nonsense. The writer’s can spend their time writing for someone who appreciates it. They bent over backwards to work with her moving filming schedule. Cut her loose already.
Seriously Grey’s needs Heigl more than she needs it right now. Did you watch some of the Season 4 storylines? I am sure she probably wants to go – she makes more money doing one movie than an entire season of Grey’s. What would you do if it was your job? Work 9 months of the year for a third the money you could make working elsewhere for only 2 months. Yeah I’m sure you would all just want to stay in your current job. Now if you really love your job and you have interesting work – maybe..after all money isn’t everything. But perhaps if you were Heigl and getting storylines about rescuing a deer, hooking up with your best friend and other crazy storylines – particularly when you have just won an Emmy and have had two huge box office hits, then you might feel that you are better off elsewhere? I don’t think that is at all unreasonable. The fact is the writers and the producers need to do better. She is absolutely right.
The easy answer would be to let her go. Let her out of her contract. I say make her stay. Give her even crappier story lines and watch her squirm. She deserves to be treated the same way she treats others…like crap.
I believe those polls that said KH was the # 1 reason people watch Knocked up. is like any other poll where only one poster with many user name and ip address can vote many times. Remember among all Grey’s star it is only her who hold the record of being in a movie that gross 30 dollars only.

Seriously…. I hope the writers have a huge storyline for KH this season, involving a coma, starting in Oct. 2007 until like May 2009. She has had such an attitude since she won that Emmy last year. She was so rude to that poor announcer who mispronounced her name. She could have chastised him with a little grace, but, noooooo! ….. and she just kept it going!
