woww.. i can’t believe this show without jason street.
    this show is about him.
i just want to see someday that he can walk again.
i love him being with lyla. perfect couple!
    oh my, bring him back!
    for good..

The first season was outstanding, and the second season was almost as good. I definitely think the show should focus more on Matt being the main character rather than Tim Riggins. I would of liked to see Jason Street be incorporated into the show as a coach or perhaps as a counselor of some sort. I know it would be unrealistic, but it would of been nice to see a miracle and see him walk again.

Im just stoked that the show is back. I have started a group of mates down here in Australia who love the show and cant get enough of it. I cant believe the stopped it in the first place.

ok thats fine, totally legit even though i love the characters. but how come they offer no explanation for why tim, tyra and lyla are still in high school.as i understand they were seniors in the first season!!tim can be explained by saying he’s…well, not so good with the education. but two years he got held back? and tyra, also not miss straight A’s until recently but still, two years?!?! the most mysterious is lyla.there is no reason why she is still in high school two years after her senior year. do they go to school in i dunno…dillon, texas in england? its weird esp when jason and smash seem to have graduated in a timely manner and concern is expressed about the realism of smash staying around the high school scene. oh…and i forgot about saracen.yeah last season was his senior yr right?so he stayed an extra year too?the school system is really suffering in dillon. julie’s the only one who is supposed to be in school. if am completely wrong here can anyone clear it up?

They should’ve kept both of them and just have separate story for both of them, I think both of them were excellent characters especially Jason Street I think his storyline was underdeveloped. Well I look forward to season 3.

  • David

Well, just saw episode 1 from 3rd season and I don’t understand just what happened. There’s a tremendous gap between season 2 and 3. And there are guys and histories that just have disappeared, like Santiago. But most important, how did the Panthers ended the football season at the end of season 2?? Season 3 doesn’t start at the end of season 2. Very disappointed.

I am a guy, 27, hetero and all…but I love Smash Williams. His character and storyline, spearheaded by incredible acting and a million dollar smile, brought teard to my eyes. His angle put me on an emotional roller coaster all through his farewell episode. Hope, disappointment, pride and joy! Very few television characters have created a bond with the me as a viewer…Andy Sipowitz of NYPD BLUE, Ric Flair of WWE, and Smash Williams of FNL! Best of luck to the actor in future endevours, and congrats to the writers for making magic!

to be fair ok tim n lyla shud go but wat abt 7 his life is so unfaire and now he has to del wit the new kid in the block who can throw a ball like forever n straight come-on gv the kid a break takin care of his grandmo… n stuff studyin plus fixin everythin jeeeeez

I just married a quadriplegic and we were inlove with this show. My husband gives talks at high schools about overcoming a neck injury and going on to live life to the fullest. This show captured that spirit. We are so saddened by the departure of Jason Street from FNL. :(

I totally understand that the boys have graduated, and think they need to move on. I can see how they are playing that with Smash, but yet this season on regular tv, have not seen Jason. I thought for sure we would see him in the first episode-3rd season as to what happen with him as a soon to be dad… maybe. I am perplexed as the other commenter, I thought that Lyla, Tyra and Tim were all the same age as Smash and Jason, I have all the season on DVD, and watched them many times… still wondering. Oh well, I don’t mind looking at Tim at all. I say, keep it real… if you graduate and move on, you move on, if your home for break, or a holiday, see them come back for a game or a reunion, but dont force the characters into the plot that makes it weird, and this show is one of the best shows I have ever seen because of how ‘real’ they make it feel…..:) Keep it going Pete!!!

  • Meg

I understand that the show must go on, but they’ve stressed so much that people just tend to stay in Dillon and NOT move on, so it would not be unrealistic to keep these characters around. Even if they all end up like Buddy Garrity, I’m so invested in these characters I want to watch what happens to them until they’re 50 years old!
