I tried watching Moonlight, it just never appealed to me no matter how much I wanted to what with the topic being Vampires and Jason Dohring in it. I think I couldn’t get past Sophia Myles.
Saying that, I’m not going to crucify a network over ONE show getting canceled. Hell I’m still sore Veronica Mars was canceled but hell I love Gossip Girl and a couple other shows that I probably shouldn’t. It’s the nature of the business folks.
ML Girl:Watch Mr Sewell in something other then The HOliday. He’s one of my top five actors to watch I’ve adored him for YEARS. Seen most everything he’s been in, he’s an incredibly passionate actor and gorgeous at that. No appeal my left foot.
I dig Swingtown, picked up something fierce last four episodes and I’d miss it if it left. Oh and Liz Phair does the music folks.
Ex List looks appealing to me, it’s one of the only new shows I want to watch. I find Ms Reaser a joy to watch when she’s being comedic.

Interesting that Nina Tassler “is behind Swingtown” in spite of low ratings, but was not behind Moonlight, even though network TV in general had a bad year due to the writer’s strike and Friday night is not known for high ratings for ANY show. Just shows that networks execs will stand behind shows THEY like in hopes of finding it an audience. Too bad Moonlight wasn’t given a fair chance to recover from the strike.

The problem here it that Ms.Tassler can support a show , but if the viewers don’t support it, it just goes down. Moonlight was strong supported by loyal viewers , just 16 episodes in a 9 month period time, only a show with a really loyal fan base could survive that. Ms. Tassler must realize that for ratings to work, it is not what she likes, but what viewers want to watch.

ITS HORRIBLE WHAT NINA HAS DONE TO MOONLIGHT AND TO THE FANS SHE NEVER GAVE THE SHOW REAL SUPPORT OR BACKING. SINCE HER FULL SUPPORT AND BACKING IS WITH SMUTTOWN, WHICH REFLECTS HER MORALS? I HOPE OUR BOYCOTT AND BLACKOUT OF CBS, WILL BRING EVEN MORE DECLINE IN THE RATINGS!! AND SHE SURELY HAD NO CLUE OF THE MILLIONS OF DIE HARD LOYAL FANS BOTH HERE AND GROWING AROUND THE WORLD OF THIS GREAT SHOW THAT HAS GENERATED, AND WE VOW WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON OUR BELOVED MOONLIGHT, ALL WE WANT IS FOR A NETWORK TO PICK IT UP. SINCE CBS DOESN’T REALLY CARE WHAT THE VIEWERS REALLY WANT. WE WILL TAKE OUR MONEY WITH US, AND LET THE SMUTTOWN FANS SPEND THEIR MONEY. WE WANT OUR MOONLIGHT BACK, WE NEED OUR MICK/BETH/JOSEF FIX NOW. MOONLIGHT FAN 4 EVER.

TO MICHAEL RE: “maintaining that most of the feedback was “actor-centric.” (Huh?) ” Meaning: We wanted to watch Alex, no matter how sh*tty the show he was in. I felt the same way about NEW AMSTERDAM. Can she make a show with just those two guys? Involving Speedos? USE YOUR CONNECTIONS MICHAEL!

I hope that Nina is not behind Swingtown like she was MOONLIGHT or else that show is doomed. Moonlight is a great show, great actors and an addicting storyline. I really wish CBS and Nina would give the show a chance at a second season. Its a win , win situation. With Twilight coming out they would have been ahead of the game. It insults me that she would think that I would dedicate my time to a tv show just for one person, or one person’s looks. The whole cast are great together. Makes Friday nights very sad. Good thing I still have Monk.

whoever decided to discontinue moonlight was a real idiot. Finally CBS has a live one and they get rid of it …to put some stupid swingtime show who cares about that everyday crap. give us something we can sink out teeth into to…
