Wasn’t Saracen supposed go live with his aunt and uncle in Oklahoma before his dad went back to Iraq? Where has his mother been? It will be interesting, to say the least, to see how any “reconnection” takes place.
Weren’t Lyla and Jason going to go to Notre Dame together?
I don’t really see why at this point the producers are limiting themselves to “once you leave high school your character needs to leave.” This is never going to attract a huge teen fanbase, anyway. You can still call it FNL and see the high school stuff through Taylor family.
I want to see more of Street, Smash and all of the characters I got hooked on.

I TOO WANTED LANDRY AND TYRA TOGETHER.BUT IT’S OK CANT WAIT FOR THE SHOW TO COME BACK ON.

Im sorry, but these spoilers make me worry about FNL. Quite frankly, shouldn’t Tim Riggins have graduated last year? There is no way he would be in the same grade as Lyla, Tyra, or Matt. Tyra and Lyla should have graduated after season 2, and this would be Matt/Landry’s senior year, Julie should be a junior. What I loved about the first season, and parts of the second was that the show did not do the conventional (which is why I would have like to see a season cover Dillion not involving football, like the spring). To me, seeing Tim and Tyra fight to graduate, and have a life outside of high school would have been great. Also, was it ever stated that Tami has an administrative degree? It would have been nice to see this new season continue the short-lived second, to see if Smash would have played again, if there would have been a confrontation with Voodoo, with the old head coach, if the team would have made it to state.

Dude–you were totally scooped by Ausiello. He put his piece in at 5:10. Holla!!!

Riggins was definitely a senior in the first season. Sure, it’s plausible that he got held back once. But I thought Lyla and Tyra were too – or at least juniors. I’ll watch it, but, let’s face it, this show was amazing for a season, and it’s organic plot should have probably ended there.

Darn. I don’t get DirecTV. It did so bad in the ratings that NBC is only airing the reruns after DirecTV airs the first runs? I’m sure this will be the shows last season. Hope it’s a good one.

I’M HOPING THIER WILL BE ANOTHER WAY TO SEE THE SHOW THAN DIRECT TV OR CD. I THINK THEY SHOULD LET US VIEW IT ONLINE

What the heck. Mat Saracen a backup to a tiny little freshmen? Is it just me or is that totally messed up? So much for Smash saying last season that this was the season for Matt Saracen to get recruited.

Totally. I find myself algyoinnny using Friday Night Lights as an example when I’m both talking about shows I like, but more of the time, about shows I just can’t quite get into as much. Say, a critically well liked medieval-ish show with lots of nakedness and stabbing. A lot of really big, grand stories fall flat with me in comparison to how well FNL did the little stuff. Oh no, you got your head chopped off by a king or something? Well tell that to Matt Saracen while he’s trying to figure out what to wear on a date with Coach’s daughter. He’s got real problems. Now I’ll continue sobbing over FNL.
