Exclusive: Will J.J. Abrams Helm 'Lost' Finale? Plus: Scoop on 'Alias' and 'Fringe'!

Tags:

One of the Fringe benefits of attending a premiere party for a new J.J. Abrams series is you get the chance to ask the überproducer burning questions about his former shows — namely Lost (will he direct the series finale?!) and Alias (will there be a feature film?!). Of course, that’s not to say I ignored his thrilltastic new Fox drama (premiering tonight). Far from it. This week’s Ausiello TV is overflowing with exclusive Fringe material, courtesy of J.J. and leads Joshua Jackson and Anna Torv. But don’t take my word for it — press play and see for yourself!

JJ doesn’t want to do the Lost finale because he doesn’t want to swoop in and take over at the end, but he’d love to do an episode in the last season.
Alias movie – never say never, it really depends on Jennifer Garner. Sloane is still buried, enjoying his just desserts.
Couldn’t be bothered listening to the Fringe stuff…

Does someone mind posting the highlights of this video from Michael? All of those hard of hearing/deaf/at work folks would really appreciate it!! THANK YOU in advance!

    Transcript! Transcript! Transcript! Transcript!

Is JJ short or is Ausiello tall? I’d always gotten the impression that Ausiello was short so JJ must be a Munchkin.

  • Ben

Always entertaining, but we need an update on the Andie/Amber/Felicia vs Michael feud! LOL

  • Bianca

I’d just KILL for an “Alias” movie. You know they’d bring Jack back from the dead.

  • Krystal

An Alias movie?! *faints* OMG I’d just die.

Ausiello, I just chatted with William Fichtner and he said he’d like to see, “your flesh fly off your skin.” That was weird. Here’s hoping Fringe doesn’t suck.

josh jackson is no david duchoveny.
michael ausiello is no dalton ross.
    and jj abrams is GOD.

Did everyone forget that JJ already made an Alias movie? You know the one where Jennifer Garner looked like Tom Cruise…

I’d love an Alias movie…BUT they ended the characters so perfectly (how fitting was Jack’s last line? or Sloane’s permanent resting place?), so they would have to be careful in how they did it.
They should leave Jack and Sloane alone, and bring back Allison/Francie.

I’m actually most excited by the news that Lance Reddick will return to Lost. His character was quite spooky. As an X-File addict, I’m banking on Fringe becoming my new obsession. I mean Lost only has 34 episodes left!

Lance Reddick has a faaaajn naaaame (?). A cool name.

an Alias movie would be totally terrific, the best news ever

The only way I would like an Alias movie would be if they set it in the timeline of the first or second season. By the fifth season the story had gotten too strange and uninteresting. (Of course, I was never a huge fan to begin with, but I do know that I’m not the only person who felt that way.)
