Exclusive: 'Old Christine' Stages New 'Seinfeld' Reunion

Oldchristine_l1It’s not Jerry himself, but this’ll do nicely.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ former Seinfeld boyfriend Tim DeKay (he was Bizarro Jerry, ‘memba?) is joining the cast of The New Adventures of Old Christine for a three-episode arc, sources confirm to me exclusively.

DeKay — whose most memorable role to date IMHO is that of Jonesy on HBO’s late, great Carnivàle — will be playing a love interest for Christine. I’m guessing her new wife, Barb, will have something (hilarious) to say about that.

Old Christine‘s fourth season kicks off Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. It’s a new night and time. Make note of it.

Any news of this show is fine by me. I don’t think there’s any show I’m more excited for. Best comedy on TV (and this coming from a big fan of The Office and 30 Rock).

Here’s hoping Julia wins her deserved Emmy this Sunday!

    Jonesy!
Why couldn’t they come up with new material for a second season of Tell Me You Love Me?! I’m still upset about that.

I agree that CHRISTINE is a great comedy and vastly underrated show. Julia should win another Emmy, but I am not holding my breath.

Why or why does she have to premiere opposite the results show of dancing with the stars!

Jonesy was SO HOT, bum leg and all. I’ve seen “New Adventures” once, but I will tune in for Jonesy.

It’s nice to see so many people actually comment (good things) about the show! I’m a pretty rampant ‘activist’ for it, so it’s nice to see people excited!
As for the news… I love seeing old Seinfeld references coming up in the show, in any form. It’s nice that they don’t shove Elaine Benes in your face. They make fun little Seinfeld references nice and delicately, and it makes fans of both show VERY happy!

I stopped watching. The same-sex marraige story was lame writing and is an insult to intelligence.
newsflash: CA same-sex marriage have NOTHING to do to impact federal immigration laws. The show jumped the shark and I stopped watching.
