'Numb3rs' factors Emilio Estevez, Penn Jillette into equation

Emilio Estevez: Major math fan? The actor/director has signed on to helm a November episode of the CBS drama Numb3rs, which will kick off its fifth season on Oct. 3. In a different episode airing in November, Penn Jillette will magically appear as himself. (Plot: Penn lends his expertise to the FBI, which is investigating the mysterious disappearance of an illusionist.) So, you are wondering, why Penn but no Teller? Turns out the famously silent Teller won’t be available to shoot next week because…he’s going to be a featured speaker at the IdeaFestival in Louisville! C’mon — could we make up something like that?
