Sarah Chalke’s getting a new sis on How I Met Your Mother.
Former One Tree Hill bad girl Danneel Harris (the one on the left) has replaced ex-Summerland beauty Sara Paxton (the one on the right) as Stella’s sib Nora, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Although showrunners Craig Thomas and Carter Bays adored Paxton (whose hiring was first reported by my buddy Mitovich over at TVGuide.com), a Mother insider says the duo felt the part called for a slightly older actress. “They want to find another role for [Sara] on the show,” confides my source.
Harris’ episode is slated to air during November sweeps and coincides with the arrival of The Daily Show‘s Jason Jones as Stella’s ex and the father of her kid. Apparently, everyone’s in town for a wedding or something.
In other news, for reasons I can’t get into right now, I’m slowly backing away from my prediction that Stella is Mother‘s infamous mum.

Um… I’m fairly certain that Danneel Harris is far older than Sarah Paxton. She doesn’t even look younger. Maybe you meant the part called for an older actress?

I’ve always thought Sara Paxton was a RINGER for Rory Gilmore, Alexis Bledel!! they’re twins separated at birth LOL

Trazey, I agree. Sara Paxton looks exactly like a blonde Alexis Bledel… I’m kind of glad to see she won’t be playing Stella’s sister.. It’s just hard to imagine her on the show… I’m not sure about this other girl, but I’m sure she’ll be good.. As long as Britney doesn’t really come back! I just really have to agree with NPH though – they need to stop with the stunt casting.. It’s ruining the credibility of the show and is just becoming more and more distracting…
Danneel is a great actress. Hopefully she will be back on OTH later this season – I miss me some Rachel.
