'Pushing Daisies' Exclusive: Meet the 'New' Emerson, Ned, and Chuck!

Jonesweavermilicevic_l

Pushing Daisies is about to get seriously bizarro.

Orlando Jones (Drumline), Michael Weaver (Notes From the Underbelly), and Ivana Milicevic (Casino Royale) have been cast as a band of Norwegian detectives who bear striking similarities to Emerson, Ned and Chuck, sources confirm to me exclusively.

The trio flee their home country looking for bigger, better crimes to solve, which makes things mighty difficult for Emerson and his untouchy-feely sidekicks.

Rumor has it the script for the episode, titled “The Norwegians” and slated to air in November, is nothing short of Snapplarious (i.e., so laugh-out-loud hysterical Snapple will likely shoot out your nose). If it’s half as funny as this Wednesday’s second season premiere — particularly a certain subplot involving reluctant nun Kristin Chenoweth and Mother Superior Diana Scarwid — then we are in for a treat.

Amazing!! Every casting decision on this show constantly amuses me. Diana Scarwid now too? Eventually every single person from Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls will be on this show. Thanks Mike!

I am sooo excited to see Diana Scarwid on TV again. Can’t wait!!! Plus, I hear Caroline Dhavernas will make an appearance sometime, reprising the role of Jaye Taylor. That confuses me cuz Lee played her brother, Aaron, and he can’t play 2 characters, and um, I don’t know. Too Brechtian for my tastes.

  • Gre

Interesting. I’ll always remember Diana Scarwid as the runaway nun from Psycho III.

Fellow Daisies fans, correct me if I am wrong, but in EW’s “Best and Worst” PD photo gallery, BEST CORPSE REAWAKENING: Wilfred Woodruff, is totally wrong. He was never dead. I nominate DeeDee Duffy of Boutique Travel Travel Boutique from the Pielette episode instead. Come on EW, correct that one!

I love this cute quirky little show and it looks fantastic on HD. Funny, every time I think of Diana Scarwid I think of Mommie Dearest.

I used to always associate Diana Scarwid with “Mommie Dearest”, but now the first association that comes to mind is “Wonderfalls”, in which she played Lee Pace’s mother.

I love Pushing Daisies. I am so excited for the new season, especially in HD! It is beautiful to look at, the characters are really terrific and it keeps me smiling every week. If you have never seen if, go check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJr8hYadMjE. It is a show that I hope sticks around for a while.

I’m going to buy a big screen TV mostly to watch this gorgeous show in HD!
