Come on. Give AA a break. He is a journalist. He will report what he thinks is going to get hits to his page.
And as far as a D/L child. Ummm excuse me, you want TPTB to show you the moment of conception or something? Is that realistic enough for you?.

  • angellbaybee

omg! montana SUCKSSSSSSS! I don’t think i could watch anymore!!

  • Amber

So happy they are including Anna pregnancy into Lindsay’s storyline (and the D/L’s). I’m looking forward to it, but I agree with everyone else: this can’t be an easy (I want lots of talking between Danny and Lindsay).

  • excuse me?

I like the idea of Danny and Rikki, and I’ve always had a great dislike for Lindsay, but I NEVER wanted a baby for anyone. In fact i think the idea of turning Danny into a parent TOTALLY ruins the character the writers and Giovinazzo have done so well in building to this point. Co-workers popping out babies and all that cliched, hyper-dramatic garbage needs to stay out of our crime dramas.
This was just a BAD move over all and I’m shocked that they don’t see it that way.

  • Jaime

You call what Danny had with Rikki a relationship? He was sleeping with her out of guilt. Rikki even stated as much herself.
I’m not saying you cant have an opinion, I’m not saying you have to like D/L. But what I see, is the very same behaviour coming from the anti D/L camp that they accuse the Pro D/L people of doing.
And as far as PV’s “clearly its Danny’s” comment. Maybe it was a dig at those who were convinced it wasn’t.

    Jaimie:
Where did I say I was speaking for anyone other than myself? If you actually read what I wrote you’d find I didn’t say anthing about “all viewers.”
I did imply that I don’t think viewers have been shown that Danny cares for Lindsay beyond friendship, and I stand by that. I know other people like the pairing, I just think the viewers have been told instead of shown what’s going on between the two and what’s shown on screen doesn’t fit with what we’ve been told. That’s my opinion.

I’m glad for Danny-Lindsay fans. Shonda Rhimes should learn something… I hate that liar a lot.

  • Faylinn

Laura, honey, CSI:NY isn’t exactly well known for having realistic timelines. When did Danny and Lindsay sleep together? Before or after she said she wanted to get over him? During or after he didn’t ‘turn’ to her over his grief? Before or after he called to apologize and she may or may not have taken him up on his offer to ‘come over’? If they want it to be realistic, they need to specify when this little miracle occurred – and preferably not make Lindsay look stupid (her word, not mine) in the process.

And really, plenty of us would happily click over here to read about someone other than Danny and Lindsay. I’ll even leave my pitchfork at home.

The comment below responding to Jaime was from me, btw.

    Bless you, Michael Ausiello.
Yeah, I’m blessing the messenger but, egads, this is the first news that the writers are doing anything to indicate that Danny and Lindsay have an actual relationship since… well, since they had sex, pretty much.
Obviously, I’m a huge D/L fan. But that doesn’t mean I can’t be objective about recognizing the entire lack of anything that’s been happening to support that relationship. Which is why I’m so happy that something is finally happening.

All I can say is I’m pleased with the news. I think that it’s about time the franchise introduced a baby amongst the characters. I believe that Danny and Lindsay deserve a happy and joyous storyline after all the angst last season provided.
And with all due respect to those who don’t like the Danny and Lindsay relationship, you are completely entitled to your opinions. Just as we are.
I think that, although it hasn’t seemed like it so far, the franchise needs a functional relationship, and I think that could be Danny and Lindsay. This child could serve as another moment on CSI: NY where the team is brought together like the family we all know they are and that we love.

  • Heidi

people enough of the negative comments over this D&L breakthrough.
I for one am estatic they are gonna be parents and I feel this will bring them closer together and danny out of this guilt feeling over what happened in season 4 and I can see danny protecting his son or daughter and Lindsay in a new way of life.
let us DL fans shine and rejoice in this excitement and if you want to watch a soap opera….try Y&R.

  • Nadine

First of all… congrats to Anna and Eric! :)
Oh and Aussiello I think you just made the day of quite a few people out there. These are so great news and we haven’t great news regarding D/L in a while. Now, I won’t say that I’m completely happy with this, but I think the storyline has a great potential.
And I’m way too bouncy bout the fact that D/L is going to have the first CSI Baby!!!!

  • Chiara

I hope the writers can handle this storyline and use it to develop both Lindsay and Danny as individuals.
Though I greatly enjoy the relationship between them, I also hope their common storyline won’t take over the show. Other characters (such as Hawkes) have hardly had any personal storyline so far, and they should be given some attention because they deserve it.
On a side note(to Faylinne): Lindsay said she wanted to move on. I doesn’t necessarily mean that she wanted to get into another relationship (or even some casual sex) with somebody else. It just meant that she thought it would be better for her not to be in love with Danny anymore. It has nothing to do with “purity”. There is a difference between “moving on” and “having sex with somebody else”.
As for those who secretly or not wanted a D/R baby and now scream “shark jumping”, may I say “pot and kettle” ?

  • PA0116

Yes, let’s not have any opposing viewpoints because the world revolves around the DL shippers and their wants and needs much like Lindsay thinks the world revolves around her wants and needs.[/sarcasm]
