Let John Mahoney play Sam Axe’s father – seems like it would make good interplay.
John Mahoney is such a good actor – I’m looking forward to seeing whatever role he plays on ‘Burn Notice.’ But I also do not want him to be Michael’s dad. (I also agree that Gless & Mahoney could have some great scenes together .. so maybe they could make that happen even w/o having him play Michael’s dad)

I think Mahoney is an excellent actor…and I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer is E, all of the above.
I believe that he is Carla’s boss.I read on Spoiler tv.com that they are casting her boss.They wanted a ‘star name’ 40-65 yrs old.He is suppose to appear in the last epp. of the season.
Also i read a interview that Matt Nix did a while back and he said that he is not going to copy Alias. That Mike’s dad is dead and is STAYING DEAD.

Great interview. I simply adore him. One of my favorite shows and one of my favorite actors. Fantastic. And yes, the phone scene was just amazing.

I’ve loved Jeffrey Donovan as an actor for a long time; I’ve never seen him interviewed but he sure comes across as a class act. I look forward to his new film and to at least a couple more years of Burn Notice. I wish him the best. Nice to see good things happen to good people.
