it’s Chi McBride on Pushing Daisies.
Just before Pushing Daisies, he was on The Nine which he is quoted as saying was named after the number of people who watched the show.
I am definitely going with Simon Baker.
For sure, it’s Simon Baker of “The Mentalist!” This is truly the only bonafide new show that has hit on with about 15.5 million viewers in it’s first 2 airings. I am not sure why the network would NOT want him because he has been on the verge of a hit show for awhile. Unfortunately, the show is not my cup of tea. But I don’t really watch much of CBS’ line-up. “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race” being 2 shows I love that just happen to be on this network. They seem to want to attract an older demographic and I think their shows are AARP-approved. I always thought Mr. Baker had a charm and intriguing quality about him, a natural for a lead in a TV series about a mysterious, “psychic” man helping to solve the case of the week. So, why network resistance, unless he’s a pain in the ass behind the scenes and thinks he’s a bigger star then he is, which I find entirely plausible. But, the producers knew who they wanted and I think he has played a big part in why the show has been successful.
Yaaaaaaah I would go with Simon Baker (The Mentalist) as well. He’s had more than one major failure. To date, I think he’s best known as the jerk in Devil Wears Prada.
I’m thinking Simon Baker too. The mentalist is a hit and he has had his share of failed TV shows
I’m gonna have to go with David Boreanaz. As much as I loved Angel, it didn’t have a huge audience and was canceled abruptly. Now Bones is getting the highest ratings since they’ve been on the air.
My guess would be Baker, but “singing a very different tune” could be an Eli Stone hint.
Definitely Simon Baker, even though I loved Smith. That was a CBS show too.
Why can’t you tell us??? this is no fun…even mock us would be better
Rob Lowe, Dr. Vegas/Brothers and Sisters?
It has to be Simon Baker.
Christian Slater – My Own Worst Enemy
What’s the fun in this if we never get confirmation? Thanks, but no thanks.
I have to agree with Simon Baker. It says “casting it’s lead”, so Chi McBride and Rob Lowe don’t count. Let me throw this one in though, Milo Ventimiglia on “Heroes”, he had just come off the awful “Bedford Diaries” which you probably don’t remember, but it’s still probably Simon Baker
How about Jimmy Smits in the cancelled show Cane, and now appearing on the show Dexter…. thats good for him because he and that show are GREAT.
