Scoop: USA Renews 'Burn Notice,' 'Psych'

Psychburnnotice_l
God bless the USA Network!

Sources confirm that the NBC-owned cabler has renewed two of TV’s most entertaining series, Burn Notice and Psych, for a third and fourth season respectively. Both shows received orders for 16 episodes.

BN and Psych are scheduled to kick off the second half of their current seasons in January (although Psych will air a special Christmas-themed hour on Nov. 28). The newly greenlit seasons would likely follow in summer ’09.

Are you as, ahem, psyched by this turn of events as I am? If not, please resist the urge to corrupt the comments section with your negativity. But if you absolutely must be a Debbie Downer, do us all a favor and at least be clever about it.

Well I’m thrilled. These shows are awesome. The acting is surprisingly goos and the premises allow the stories to never becoming boring. And best of all they are consistant, I can never remember episodes that I don’t like, from either of these shows. They’ll never become mainstream or very popular, but me and my firends love them.

I’m so “Psych”ed the USA Network didn’t “Burn” it’s loyal viewers, and hopefully both these shows will get more “Notice” in their upcoming seasons!!

Yay. Psych is one of my favourite shows, so glad it got a re-new. It totally deserves it, it’s a great spin on all the other crime shows on TV at the moment.

  • Lorie

Woo Hoo!! Great news about 2 of my must-see shows.

I love “Psych”!! it has some of the funniest, quickest dialogue on T.V. and not enough people know that.

  • Nancy

    Any news on Monk?

  • JaniceM

I love both these shows. I have to honest thought, that “Psych” has gone a little too silly for me. Shawn and Gus are my favorite team, but I hope they reign in the goofiness just a bit next season.
“Burn Notice” is one of the best shows on the air, and Jeffrey Donovan totally rocks.

  • yay!!!!!
