Eh, who needs good reviews? Not Knight Rider!
NBC’s critically maligned reboot of the ’80s campfest has nabbed a full-season pickup, sources confirm to me exclusively. Producers were informed this evening that the Peacock was ordering the show’s “back nine.”
Despite middling ratings, KR has remained competitive in its Wednesday 8 p.m. time slot, particularly among young men who like bad TV.
I kid, I kid. The truth is, I haven’t been watching. But someone must be. Is it you? Has KR gotten better since its premiere last month? Does it deserve the full-season vote of confidence? Discuss below!

FAIL
You have got to be freaking kidding me
Your “exclusive” story was reported by your frienemy over at EOnline at the same time…what’s the definition of exclusive again?
As long as Chuck stays on the air at least as long, and I mean AT LEAST, I’ll be happy.
Did you pull this out of your ass just like your “friend” Kristin?
Ewww… NBC should just give its slot to a more deserving show.
Jane: No one takes the word exclusive seriously anymore. But in Mike’s defense, he did have his story up at least 30 minutes before Kristen did. It looks like she went in and changed the time on the story to make it look like she had it first. I think she forgets that some of us have no life and keep track of these things!!
Well I guess someone will be happy. It won’t be Glen A. Larson, who’s been trying to get a seperate feature film off the ground. Given that GL was WRITING that project, I actually think NBC have done us all a favour. As bad as the series might be, it’s Aaron Sorkin in his prime compared to any of Larson’s writing!
I’ve been watching. It’s not great whatsoever, but it’s silly fun. And at some point in my week, I always need that kind of fun to de-stress myself.
they better renew life if this garbage is “good enough”.
Well I’m pleased it’s getting a full run. It’s not the best show of the season; it’s not even the best show of the night. But it’s a fun little show that doesn’t take itself too seriously and that’s something that television’s been lacking in the last few years.
Ben Silverman must be running his network via dartboard, because there’s no reason for this pickup beyond a random decision. Or spite against the American viewing public, one of the two.
long as they dont cancel Chuck, i’m all good!
Knight Rider is the worst show on tv. Leave it to NBC to renew it. I don’t personally know ANYONE that watches this mindless show.
