I would say either David Caruso or Christian Slater. CSI: Miami lost the woman who played Alex and My Own Worst Enemy supposedly had to replace a female character after the pilot was shot.

I doubt it’s CSI:NY. Gary Sinise is known for being a pretty generous actor. It could be CSI:Miami, but I thought Khandi Alexander left because she was tired of doing the show and wanted to pursue other acting challenges. I imagine it would have to be a procedural, though. And the reason why Ausiello can’t actually give us the answer is because he has sources who give him the information. If he gave the answer, than the sources get in trouble and they stop giving him the information, and then he gets a bad reputation so other people stop giving him info, so then he’d have no column. It’s professional survival.

Definitely not Vincent D’Onofrio. He and Kathryn Erbe have tons of scenes together. The show would be impossible to film otherwise.

Why bother? We’ll never get to know who it is anyway…

What about Alec Baldwin? I know 30 Rock isn’t a traditional hit, but it’s still well known and critically popular.

Jeff Goldblum took over for Chris Noth on one of the Law and Order shows. He was a star in the movie “The Big Chill” and although talented can be a bit quirky and divaish.

Well I know something that you don’t and I’ll never tell!
What a joke this column is most of the time.

Did anyone think of How I Met Your Mother? That was my first thought with “rules” and the storyline that would have been impossible to have these 2 apart (Barney & Robin)?? But honestly, I haven’t watched it yet this season, so I don’t know if they’ve had any scenes together.

Well, IMO it’s pretty obvious that if one leaves a show because she can’t stand another actor, she wouldn’t go vocal about it. And the “i want to pursue another challenges” looks like a pretty standard answer to leave a show.
And blind items exist because people don’t want to get sued.

    Female Lead. Male diva.
Its got to be ‘Ugly Betty’ who recently lost the actress (Rebecca Romijn).
The diva though.. Either Eric Mabius or Michael Urie..
I’m guessing Michael Urie though. As his and America Ferreras scenes are minimal now. And only crossed within the scenes they needed to film involving Vanessa Williams.

Maybe Jim and Pam of The Office? It’s a hit show and they’re engaged but so far have spent the whole new season apart.

  • Emily

It’s gotta be David Caruso. He was the first person I thought of even though I couldn’t even remember what show he is on right now. Didn’t he get fired from another show because of his ego sometime a while back? It couldn’t be Alec Baldwin because Ausiello says there’s a story arc “so far this season” and 30 Rock hasn’t started yet. Ditto for Matthew Fox and Lost.

  • tom

Just throwing it out there, but could it be The Office, Jim and Pam?

  • LadyFabry

    William Peterson and Marg Helgenberger

  • Adrian

I think the show is Lost and the actress is Emile de Ravin… maybe the actor is Matt Fox
