The ratings for the week of Oct. 20-26 are in and — surprise, surprise — CBS’s CSI is the No. 1 show on television yet again, with 19.5 million viewers. Even America’s game couldn’t top the crime procedural (with new cast member Lauren Lee Smith, pictured): Fox’s four World Series broadcasts could only manage a high of 15.5 million viewers (Sunday’s game 4) and a low of 9.8 million viewers (Saturday’s game 3). Yep, Saturday nights are so dead, viewers aren’t even watching sports!
The rest of the Top 20, which you can view after the jump, was pretty predictable, filled out by ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, Grey’s Anatomy, and Desperate Housewives; a slew of CBS procedurals; Fox’s House; and, of course, nothing on NBC or The CW.

Of note out of the Top 20 was CBS’s new Friday night relationship dramedy CBS’s The Ex List, which attracted a meager 5.3 million viewers and registered as a series low. CBS promptly pulled the plug on the series. The CW’s Stylista
premiered to low numbers (2.3 million), which is unsurprising
considering the fact that it airs on the generally low-rated CW. Still,
it’s never a good thing when a show can only hold 53 percent of it’s
lead-in — in this case, the CW’s top show, America’s Next Top Model.

Why are you so surprised that CSI is number 1 yet again? Reality shows can only go so far before they become cliche and how long can a house wife really be desperate but crime unfortunately rules. If it bleeds it leads type mentality. Fortunately for CSI they have a brillant cast, writers will to take chances and a rabid legion of fans who follow the show but don’t get me on the clones cause NY and Miami suck.
Wow, Greys has fallen sharply. It used to pull 20m regularly. Now it averages 14m & is out even in the Top 10.
Wow – Americans have really bad taste in television. REALLY BAD.
When will NCIS ever get credit for consistently being at the top of the ratings week after week?
Of course no one watched world series on saturday the game started at 10:30 and wasn’t over until 1:47
Since I only watch CSI and NCIS regularly, I am so glad they are top of the ratings. They are well-written shows with a great cast and crew.
It will be interesting to see if CSI can continue to rule the ratings without Grissom (probably not because AI will be on then).
