Exclusive: 'Heroes' Recruits 'Everwood' Hunk

Tags:

Justinbaldoni_lFinally, some good Heroes news: The embattled NBC drama has snapped up an Everwood alum!

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Justin Baldoni, who played Emily VanCamp’s ripped med student beau on the late, great WB classic, is joining the cast as Alex, a Southern California surfer dude who works at a comic book store.

Baldoni will appear in a minimum of two episodes.

It’s unclear what connection, if any, Baldoni’s Andy will have to the comic book geeks played by Seth Green and Breckin Meyer. But I think it’s safe to say comic books play a key role in the upcoming “Fugitives” arc.

“Alex, a Southern California surfer dude who works at a comic book store?!” . . . OMFG. You’d have thunk that Jeph Loeb would have taken some of the writers to Golden Apple, Meltdown, Isotope or Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash(among other comics stores in the L.A. County area) before he got fired from the show. Or are NBC execs so ignorant about comics that they imposed this type of oxymoronic character on the show’s creative team without ever having stepped foot in a comics store?

    Another Petrelli kid?

Ugh, stop casting people and start cutting people loose! Honestly, the only way I’m going to start watching again is if there’s a wholesale character wipeout on this season’s finale. I’m talking King Lear. I’m talking three or four characters left. Just do it, “Heroes”.

  • Robbie

I only care if he’s shirtless. Thanks.

Put him shirtless with Peter and it’ll be a win-win!

  • KGL

Can we please talk about the more important issue – when will the rest of the seasons of Everwood come out on DVD?!?

  • DD

Um…they said it was for only 2 episodes!!! They are by no means adding to the cast! They have to have peole for the cast to interact with! Get off it people! GAWD!

  • spanky

Will everyone in Hlooywood eventually be employed on this series?

  • David

They need to make the cast larger?

  • Kate

Oh, yeah, just what the show needs- ANOTHER cast member. I don’t care if they could cast God- HEROES DOESN’T NEED ONE MORE CHARACTER!!! Figure out what to do with the ones you have, first, leftover Heroes producers!

  • Hey KGL

    KGL – Season 2 due in 2009

  • Richard

I do not care about new ppl. KEEP KRISTEN BELL on Heroes and I will be happy.

  • liz

  • Stefan
