People are “Mean” to Palin because she was plucked from the obscurity of Alaskan politics to co-headline a major political ticket. Had she risen to the challenge and tried to appeal to EVERYONE including her base, the race would have been a lot closer. But she only spoke to her people, and McCain’s problem was that he abandoned his base to pander to Palin’s base. Also, since the election cycle began we have seen Obama, Biden, McCain, Clinton, Edwards, Romney, Huckabee all speak hundreds of times to the press. Palin’s interviews were controlled and she only did a handful of major interviews. That is not smart strategy for someone running for the 2nd highest office in the land. She should have been more accessible, been herself, and actually should have tried to make an effort to be less polarizing and appeal to people wider than her base. Her job was to appeal to Clinton supporters, but when she didn’t speak to them it was all over. McCain ran 8 years too late, and picked a bad VP.
Palin will actually benefit from this loss.
I see her going “Hollywood” in the near future.
I would’ve rather have seen McCain pick Rudy Giulliani (sp) as his running mate. That would’ve given Obama Bin Biden a run for his money.
Palin’s time on the national spotlight is over. Let her go back to Alaska and never be heard from again. Now that the election is over Tina can go back to doing what she does best anyway.
Tina Fey totally kicked butt with the big boys impersonators of “SNL” (ie. Will Ferrell’s George W.; Darrell Hammond’s Bill Clinton; Dana Carvey’s George, Sr., Dan Ackroyd’s Nixon, etc.). Ms. Fey, thank-you for your dead-on impersonation of Gov. Palin. I’ll miss it…maybe you can resurrect it once in awhile on “SNL?” Pleeze.
30 Rock, Friday Night Lights and The Shield are tv’s best shows.
Palin’s ridiculous interviews with Gibson and Couric, plus her cheesecake-y winking earned her the mocking she received from Fey and others.
if male comedians can rightly mock Bush, then female comedians can mock a Bush with a bush. to say otherwise is reverse sexism.
Fey’s IMPERSONATION was spot-on, but the writing was really weak.
Ah, it’s the end of a (VERY short-lived) comedic era!
How did Fey dis her gender? Last time I checked, Sarah Palin was not the sole representative of womankind. In fact, I didn’t vote for Palin because I feel that many of her very opinions and positions are what dis our gender.
WHEN WILL EW RETIRE THE UNFUNNY TINA FEY/SARAH PALIN STORIES?
I’m hoping to see Palin get her own (short-lived) daytime talk show. Hopefully Joe The Plumber can be her first guest. He can perform his big country hit, “I’m Tired Of This Media Spotlight.”
I loved Fey’s impersonation of Palin and I wish it would go on forever. Palin is my hero; she’s pro-life, pro-gun, and the media hates her guts. Palin rocks!!!
I think it is silly to think women must support any woman that comes along just because she is a woman… do all men just support all men?
We should teach our children to stand up for what they believe in.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How come you women hate Sarah Palin so much? She is as perfect as you can get. It must be jealousy. She is smart, brave, able to speak her mind. She knows how to be a strong person and stand up for herself but still be a mother and wife at home. She could have gotten the job done without giving up her femininity, like others and wore a pant suit. She was a perfect choice by McCain. It’s just the liberals were too dumb to see it. All they want us free handouts from people that have worked hard like the McCains and Palins.
Palin is a pin head who can’t name a single paper she reads. She took 6 years to complete a 4 year degree and she graduated from a third tier college. 2 years ago she was the mayor of a town of 6000 people 2 years. Palin isn’t a strong, smart female politician. She is an embarrassment. Fey doesn’t have to support her just because she a woman.
I am glad that Palin’s 15 minute of fame is over. She has no place on the national stage.
