    Fantastic! I mean, bummer about Idol, but between the semi-finals and say the top six or so I rarely watch the results shows anyway. Too much filler. Now, here’s hoping I can work my class schedule around this…

    While I know that Nielsen ratings have recently started to take into account DVR views of a show,I still question ABC’s decision to air Lost against American Idol, a long-running ratings juggernaut. While I personally will be watching Lost over AI, a lot of people may choose to watch AI live instead. It just doesn’t seem to be a sound businesses decision. And, although DVR has been available for a couple of years now, a lot of households still don’t have DVR. Nevertheless, I am stoked for the season 5 premiere.

    I vote for a Monday night Lost since Monday night is such a poor night for TV. So happy Lost is back in January though, because I thought it was going to be back in February. What a pleasant surprise and something to look forward to.

    I would just flip if one of the episodes that comes up involves Desmond becoming an old man who lost Penny because he wasn’t able to prevent Ben from killing her. I don’t want it to be Jack feeling remorseful about being unable to change things but what if the whole story is about Desmond trying to course correct things and couldn’t do it because he didn’t understand what was going on until it was much too late.
