Breaking: NBC Axes 'Lipstick,' 'Enemy'

Tags:

Enemylipstick_lNo big shock here: Sources confirm that NBC has canceled struggling dramas Lipstick Jungle and My Own Worst Enemy.

NBC isn’t commenting, but multiple insiders tell me that the network informed Enemy and Lipstick producers that they would not be ordering additional episodes. It’s unclear whether both shows will be pulled from the schedule immediately. Five unaired episodes remain for each.

Anyone crushed?

I watched both…Lipstick doesn’t surprise me, It was expected, I was actually just wondering why I was still watching anyway…As for Enemy, that one disappoints me a little, but I’ll get over it

      These shows were still on?

Oh, My Own Worst Enemy was getting so good! I wish this show got more viewers and I hope NBC at least releases the remaining episodes out of the 13. For Lipstick Jungle, I gave up weeks ago.

poor christian slater but no surprise regarding lipstick jungle – was that the blind item show?

  • Stivers

    Meh.

I could care less about Enemy but I’m a bit disappointed that NBC – who claimed to LOVE Lipstick Jungle – only gave it 2 eps to pull up the ratings after moving it to “kiss of death” night. Gee, guess this means I won’t have to worry about how I’m going to watch LJ anymore. NBC has lost another viewer.

Meh to both, though I suspect Saffron Burrows regrets leaving Boston Legal now! I’m thinking Ben Silverman’s tenure at NBC isn’t long for this world. ESPECIALLY as it seems like Knight Rider and Kath and Kim were only re-upped as a face-saving move.

Damn, I actually really liked Enemy.

I actually was getting into Enemy, but I bet it was a fairly expensive show to shoot, so I can see them not giving it time to grow. Not heartbroken, but I feel bad for Christian Slater since they promoted it so much during the Olympics.

effing hell…. sums up how I feel at the moment.
Enemy is probably the best show to come out of this fall and NBC go out and cancel it. Im just devastated at the moment. NBC is my Enemy now :x

  • Carrie

I like My Own Worst Enemy. Lipstick Jungle – no surprise there.

  • keving

Enemy was unwatchable. They took a good premise and made it way to dumb. It needed to be a lot more fun.

  • Kevin

I liked Enemy and am disappointed to see it go. Lipstick was just bad…

  • Robin

No! I’m kind of crushed about Lipstick Jungle…but honestly I was kind of surprised it returned this fall…just makes it worse b/c I had renewed hope kinda
