I have a hunch one of Seattle Grace’s finest may soon be kissing Jessica Stein.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Jennifer Westfeldt (of Kissing Jessica Stein and Notes from the Underbelly fame) is joining Grey’s Anatomy for a multi-episode arc.
But relax, the show isn’t adding yet another doctor to its already crowded rotation. Rather, Westfeldt — the real-life longtime companion of Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm — is coming on as a patient.
And that’s pretty much all I know about her character. But if history is any indication, she’ll likely fall in love with one of her doctors, eventually croak, and then come back as a ghost to consummate the relationship.
But that’s just me speculating. If you’ve got another theory, please, by all means, share it below.

bonsoir,je suis une fan française et je t’en suplie ausiello fais savoir a shonda que j’adore GA mais que je trouve que la serie perd de son charme et je peux te dire que je ne suis pas la seule à le penser tu peux aller faire un tour sur les sites de GA EN FRANCE ET TU VERRAS!!!on ne voit pas beaucoup merder et depuis que burke est partie on a l’impression que la serie se laisse aller. Notre couple favori merder se fait rare dans des scenes d’amours et l’histoire avec izzie, on ne comprend pas où veut nous mener shonda!!
There won’t be a hospital if they don’t have patients! It has been a while since there’s been a patient that got involved in the doctor’s storylines. One died and won’t leave, one went crazy and was institutionalized? Wonder what they’ll do to this poor woman…..
Michael, I totally love the humour in your comments! Yes, we need more patients. They are overflooding with doctors! I hate it when they bring on cheesy ones. How cheesy was the “no poop for you”? I would love to see a patient who doesn’t fall so easily for the doctor. Someone who gives them a hard time. But then again, that would be cliche. The shallow, cocky hunk being redeemed by a spunky, witty, free-spirited woman who eventually dies and gives us the “Oliver’s Story” treatment. Actually, Izzie hooking up with O’Malley is like “Oliver’s Story” gone really sour. I know you talk to Shonda Ausiello,so could you please ask her to consider Freddy Rodriguez on Grey’s? I love him. We should have a page where we vote for/nominate guest stars for the show.
