'Grey's Anatomy': ABC testing Denny-Izzie romance

Maybe Katherine Heigl’s recent, pre-Emmy complaint about not getting nomination-worthy material on Grey’s Anatomy wasn’t entirely off base: In a preposterous new low, her once-popular Read the full post.

The ratings went up because there was a lot of buzz around it and people wanted to see what the big deal was. It’s like a trainwreck. You’re curious about it at first but then you move on. Keeping this up, will lead the the ratings falling again because the storyline is just too ridiculous even for Grey’s Anatomy standards.

I am glad they got rid of the Dr. Hahn character, but bringing back dead Denny is crazy. I will admit one thing, it’s got people watching to see what craziness will pop up next week. What happened to Meredeth and Derrick? That’s a story worth exploring, Sloan and “little” grey and Christina and Dr. Hunt. Go back to making this show what it was good at, the realtionships. Stop with the crazy.

They waste time with a a dead love story; they waste with Addison. While Callie has no story-George has no story-MerDer has no story.
WHAT IS THERE TO POLL? Fire Shonda this is too much and the last straw!

I absolutely agree with EVERYONE on here…Ditch Denny – get back to reality Shondra – listen to the fans you have left on this show.
Start getting back to relationships be can invest in…and where’s the fun…it seems like everything is soooo serious…no laughs at all.

And to think ABC canceled a gem like Pushing Daisies to keep this crap.

Grey’s Anatomy is now and always has been, a silly show; weird, over the top, quirky. Say what you like, it’s a night time soap opera of a show, not “serious television”. And with all the weirdness going on, people are blaming the Denny/Izzie storyline for pushing GA over the brink into not relatable???? Give me a damn break!

Grey’s was actually having a pretty decent season up until the last several episodes. I stick with a show for a while before I give up on it, and hopefully this Izzie / Denny storyline will be an unfortunately long hiccup before things get back to normal. That said, while I disagree with the way they handled Brooke Smith, I was actually relieved to have her off the show. Her character was definitely better in smaller doses.
I think what kills the I/D storyline is the fact that she had, for all intents and purposes, gotten over Denny. I can understand remorse for the guy, and for him to be on her mind for 1-2 episodes while she copes, but a ghost romance? Especially after (finally) rekindling things? Ugh.

I was so very disappointed to see that JDM would be staying on as Denny through the beginning of the year. This storyline is crap. There are no other words.
This show was once wonderful. Was it based in fact? No. But the show we see now is so far removed from the original, it isn’t even funny.
    Please get rid of Denny!

Lynette, I’m tired to see Addison on Greys. She has her show now. I want focus for GA characters. PLEASE!

I loved Denny when he was alive 2 years ago on Grey’s. This is suppose to be a hospital drama not a science fiction one. Grey’s needs to just call it quits. I’m certainly done watching it.

I don’t know anyone who likes the Denny/Izzie storyline. You have messed up worse than Heroes!

    The more Addison the better.
