Breaking: Clock keeps ticking for 'Eleventh Hour'

Eleventh Hour
will be around for at least 18 this season.

A CBS insider confirms that the network has ordered five additional episodes of the freshman drama, bringing its season 1 total to 18.

Since premiering in October, Hour has averaged 12 million viewers and ranks No. 20 among all prime-time shows. Sure, it loses a chunk of its sizeable CSI lead in, but, hey, 12 million viewers is nothing to sneeze at.

Are you among the 12 million regularly tuning in? If so, riddle me this: Should I be watching? The pilot was just okay for me.

I love Eleventh Hour. I started watching because I didn’t have another show on Thursdays at 10, now I never miss an episode!

how about you concentrate on chuck instead?

I love this show!!! you should totally be watching.

I watch the show as long as it is around. But I could take it or leave it. I wouldn’t be disappointed if it were to get cancelled. Usually shows like this do well when there is a ton of chemistry between the two leads (think Bones or Fringe). But the leads here have absolutely no chemistry. Dump the blond and get him a new handler. In the episode where she was possibly infected and could have been on the verge of dying, I found myself rooting for the virus!

This isn’t my favorite show, but it has gotten a lot better since the pilot.

YAY! More totally not being able to put together two words whilst being enthralled by Rufus Sewell’s eyes.

i’m a bit surprised that they would hold on to this show, it doesn’t pull in high ratings and it doesn’t garner critical acclaim. It would seem like numbers or without a trace or the unit would do better in it’s time slot. or better yet. Move Christine and Gary to Thursdays at 8 and movie survivor to wed — but I guess that is another story.

Great news! I’m really enjoying this freshman drama.

I record it and watch it the next night when I’m bored. However, I miss a lot of the story because it just doesn’t hold my interest. Sometimes I start it and then the end credits are rolling, and I realized I missed the entire thing. Delete!

I was iffy about this show at first, but it’s gotten a lot better with each episode. Now I’m hooked!

This show has steadily improved since the pilot. Give it a chance. A lot better tha some of the alternatives.

It’s mediocre, but acceptable enough to knit to. If I ran out of time to watch TV (as in, if I ran out of knitting), this would be the first to go. Fringe is much better (although granted, I’ve seen Fringe before when it was called the X-Files). Fringe’s resident doctor, while insane, approaches explanations of the science in a much more pleasant manner than 11th’s Dr. Hood. Hood is a bit of an arrogant jerk, explaining things in a pedantic, overstated way, even to other scientists. The bang-over-the-head exposition is indicative of less skilled writers. I wouldn’t cry if the show left, nor would I be surprised.

I have to agree it was a bit shaky with the pilot but it has gotten a lot better. Its a little bit X-files little bit CSI and pretty good TV.

  • Nina

I liked the version from the BBC with Patrick Stewart.
