I’m surprised NBC allowed Mr. Leno to take over the popular Thursday 10pm timeslot. I guess they ran out of ideas for a brand new Drama Series in the vein of “ER”, “Hill Street Blues”, & “LA Law”. Rosie O’Donnell is probably somewhere FUMING MAD right about now, how delightful!!!

As an avid (maybe maniacal) automobile buff, I would be happy to just watch a tour of Leno’s garage and a highlight of one his collector cars every night. That would not cost much and would get the viewer ratings up by one any way. *smile*

WOW I guessed it wrong. I thought Oprah would be Obama’s VP and then Jay would take Oprah’s place on day time. I thought for sure it would be O2 in 08. Man I missed that one.

I am so happy to hear that Leno will still be on — I love watching Leno. I do not enjoy Conan at all and will not watch when he moves to The Tonight Show. I am so glad Leno will be on in Primetime. My favorite skit is the Jaywalking segment. They are so funny, but he is so kind to the people. Never makes them feel stupid, even though they are. He seems like a really great guy.

no, i won’t watch..he wasn’t worth staying up for, and he CERTAINLY isn’t worth watching as a substitute for quality programming (that would cost more)..
he stopped being relevant or even funny YEARS ago..and while comparisons to the witty J.C. are unfair to anyone, they’re downright heartbreaking when you compare johnny to this big-chinned-giggling hack who’s been riding on the show’s name and history for the duration of his tenure.

    No. He’s not funny.

I will definitely start watching. I can’t stay up late enough to watch Jay now. I always enjoy his show when I do get a chance to see it. Don’t really care for Conan.

Well, I don’t consider myself a Leno fan, and agree the monologue to be crap at times. But as a person who doesn’t have cable and hates television dramas, I will be more entertained. I do like “Headlines” on monday, And it is not affecting how much more accessable Conan will be… so I see no harm. I think Conan’s writer’s (at least most of them) have really lost any ability they once had to write FRESH skits. I used to be a huge Conan fan, and I kind of got bored after Andy left, and I hate Weinberg. But during the writer’s strike I saw that Conan alone had the ability to entertain.

I doubt I’ll watch, I’ve never been a big Leno fan. I’m extremely excited for Conan though.

Not a chance. What a waste of time and space. I only watch one show on NBC right now – Chuck and at this point, have no desire to watch anything else.
This is an epic fail on the part of the networks. No wonder we’re all watching cable shows like Burn Notice, Greek, Leverage etc.
    Epic fail NBC.

I think its great Jay is STAYING!!!
I don’t particularly like Conan. Keep the show just the way it is.

  • Cat

Not a chance. Jay Leno is waaaaaaaay past his prime (did he ever have one?). Conan, however, is always hilarious, he deserves the 10 pm show.

  • wendy

nope will never watch this. Sorry NBC.

As much as I like Leno I just toss this up to another networks LAZYNESS. If he was on one or two nights a week fine but why am I going to watch his show which is just another version of the already 2+ hrs or late night talk shows.
This show will be DVR proof b/c no one’s gonna watch it! Keep the 3hrs of regular prime time tv going and stop it with the brain draining reality/talk show tv!!!!

  • BrandonK

I might stop if I’m flicking through and check it out now and then, but it won’t be a nightly thing, for sure. I do like that it’s earlier, though…I never watch the late shows because I go to bed too early, so if it’s on at 10 or whatever, I might watch it sometimes. Personally, I’d prefer Leno stay at The Tonight Show and Conan get a prime time show.
