Exclusive: 'House' private eye spies 'CSI' gig

Consider the case of House‘s disappearing P.I. officially solved: Michael Weston, who enjoyed a high profile run as Hugh Laurie’s spykick this fall only to vanish without a trace, has turned up on CBS, sources confirm to me exclusively.

The former Six Feet Under kidnapper has been cast as a charismatic con man in an upcoming episode of CSI. Juggling multiple aliases, including a real estate mogul, a movie producer, an art dealer, and his brother, Weston’s character has spent much of his adult life scamming those around him. But it’s his newest identity — psycho killer — that gets the attention of the CSIers.

Weston’s episode begins production today and is slated to air this March.

Would be nice to see him in a recurring role, not just one episode :)

makes no sense… article implies the actor is no longer on house due to a one time, non recurring role on CSI???
still doesn’t explain why his character was cut. or rather we know why, and it has nothing to do with CSI.

You know, it would be helpful if the scoop and the text matched. He disappeared because his gig on House was over. So he has a one-episode stint on CSI. Does that mean the PI House spinoff is cancelled? One does not logically lead to another. I’m guessing that from the unscoopy scoops of all my favorite scoopers lately that the demise of scripted TV is seriously dipping into my scoopers scoops. Scoop?

I agree, A. Saying someone is abandoning a recurring role with a potential character arc (I say “potential,” because his character was never really flushed out, but if it was, it would be interesting) on a hit TV show, to take on a one-time, non-recurring role on another show is pretty weak. No one’s buying that crap. That’s like someone dropping out of college to take Wednesday night yoga classes at the Y. Come on, EW, either give a reason that makes sense or don’t report it at all.

Michael Weston was Olivia Benson’s half-brother on “Law and Order: SVU”.

I loved Weston on House. Very interesting character. He and Hugh Laurie played off each other very well. I also liked Michael Weston on Psych. It’s a shame he can’t get a regular gig.

I really like him on Six Feet Under, SVU and House.

I thought ‘MICHAEL WESTON’ was the spy on Burn Notice?

He was great on House. I wonder will the spin-off go ahead?
