Exclusive 'Gossip': Nate's getting a cousin!

Gossip Girl is wisely expanding Chace Crawford’s enviable gene pool in the form of a cousin for Nate.

The yet-to-be-cast character is in his 20s and described as wealthy,
confident, politically-minded and — all together now — extremely
good-looking.

But before you go fixing him up with Blair, you should
know that cuz is married. You should also know that his name is Kip
Vanderbilt, so brace yourselves for the inevitable “Anderson Cooper
cameo” rumors. But all signs are that Kip is not a descendent of that
Vanderbilt family. For starters, Kip’s dad’s name is William, not
Cornelius.

Casting suggestions for Kip? Spill ‘em below!

  • Jen

    How about Jason Dohring?

  • mscisluv

    I don’t understand the Anderson Cooper reference…

  • INTENSE

    gloria’s his mother.

  • Angie

Could he also be Lily and Bart’s lost son?

  • Bye11

Does your reference to Blair mean that there is no chance that Blair and Chuck will get together soonish ? I kind of imagined that from the next promo but I hoped that it was intentionally misleading.

  • Josh

mscisluv, Anderson Cooper is the son of Gloria Vanderbilt.

  • Greenlee

Jason dohring! Stunning! I adore him.

    To mscisluv:
Anderson Cooper, born on June 3, 1967 in New York City, is the younger son of the writer Wyatt Emory Cooper and the artist, designer, writer, and heiress Gloria Vanderbilt, granddaughter of Cornelius Vanderbilt II of the prominent Vanderbilt Family of New York.
Hence the reference, as this new character is Kip Vanderbilt.

My lord…if James Marsden joined the cast…I would definitely tune into Gossip Girl. That man…yumm!

  • val

Anderson Cooper is the son of Gloria Vanderbilt, she of the millions-inheriting, jean-designing, perfume-naming socialite.

  • TT

Christian Cooke, the British Chase Crawford doppelganger. Or if they’re going a bit older, Ian Somerhalder.

  • Alek

Of course Jason Dohring. Somebody get him on a new show stat. All the better if it’s Gossip Girl.

Zac Efron would never but he should
