Exclusive: Pete and Ashlee escape to 'CSI: NY'

Tags:

Wentzsimpson_lIf there were any lingering doubts as to which of the three CSIs was the most stunt happy, this next story should erase them: Sources confirm to me exclusively that ubiquitous real-life couple Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz just closed a deal to guest star on CSI: NY.

A show spokesperson declined to comment, but I’m told the Wentzes will not be playing themselves in the episode, which is slated to air on March 18. Rather, they will be playing Bonnie and Clyde wannabes.

Question time: Is this cheeky, attention-getting piece of casting a shrewd business decision on the part of CSI: NY producers, or yet another sign of the impending apocalypse? Weigh in below!

March 18th?! Ashlee probably didn’t gain MUCH baby weight cause she was formerly a STICK, but she lost all the baby weight after the holidays and is comfortable filming?! WoW.

  • melbye

    They don’t need this bulls**t.

  • Stephanie

It would be cool to see those two on a show I actually watch.

  • Marcus

Great, another reason not to watch CSI: NY.

  • frank

hopefully the episode ends with Bonnie off to prison so Clyde can become a recurring character

  • laura

wait … Ashlee speaks? hhmm I thought the rule for every ‘Celebrity ‘ couple was that onces you get marry … the female does not speak.

i’m sorry i still think the most insanely ridiculous is CSI:Miami where all labwork they finish ends in a day. At least you see changes between night and day on CSI:NY.

  • Marie

This is why I do not watch CSI: NY. I mean.. really? Are you that starved for a storyline?

  • mk

Bonnie and Clyde wannabees? What a eye rolling mess that’s going to be.

  • Faylinn

    Stunt casting is so “hip”.
    *facepalm*

Just another reason to still not watch just another boring (every episode is the same), plain vanilla cop show.

  • Kimmy

I think this will be interesting to see.

  • Firbette

Does it have to be “or”? And why does someone as talented as Gary Sinese put up with this?

  • Erin

WTF? Pete Wentz is the biggest douchebag in history!
This is FAIL casting not stunt casting.

I happen to like Ashlee, and I think she’s a much better actress then she is a singer. She was very good on 7th Heaven. Now Pete on the other hand should stick to music. I caught his acting on One Tree Hill, and he can’t even play himself on TV.
I don’t know why CSI: NY takes so much heat. I think it’s a great show, now that they’ve gotten it back on track. I did think there were some plot line issues with the way they handled the Danny/Lindsey story, but they seem to have given it some direction now.
