Lizzie Mac is back!
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Hilary Duff will appear in an upcoming episode of Ghost Whisperer as a “beautiful woman of mystery” who (duh) may or may not have been involved in the death of some dude.
Random fact that may help explain how this whole thing came about: Duff and Jennifer Love Hewitt are BFFs! Who knew?
Duff’s Ghost gig comes amid news that she’ll headline Barely Legal, an NBC comedy about an 18-year-old who passes the California bar and becomes the state’s youngest attorney. (Additional reporting by Oriana Schwindt)
Hopefully, this would be the episode where Melinda stops swooning over a dead guy in a corpse suit.
So Hilary Duff is re-making Doogie Howser, MD only with lawyers instead of doctors. Yeah, I’ll pass.

Actually, JRose, “Barely Legal” is a true story about a woman named Kathleen who did pass the bar exam in California at 18, so she’s not “remaking Doogie.” I am very excited about Hil’s return to television, and can’t wait for both shows. I’m her biggest fan! And, Ausiello, I love you very much, but lay off the “Lizzie Mac” jokes. She’s 21 years old, and hasn’t been Lizzie since she was 14. Lizzie was a character she played, not an actual person, so it’s impossible for her to be “back,” and even so, she’s not playing Lizzie. Futhermore, her career far surpasses her “Lizzie” days, and has made many notable movies, hit records, television appearances, fragrances, a clothing line, and charity work. I LOVE YOU HIL!!

big fan of hillary and will definitely watch her on ghost whisperer but i have to say the barely legal show sounds a little campy. but other than that i’m excited to see it!

HILARY DUFF??? REALLY??? geez! luv ‘Ghost Whisperer’ but Hilary Duff?! may have to wear sunglasses when I watch that episode to keep from screaming “MY EYES! MY EYES!” HILARY DUFF? REALLY?? Hilary-blank-staring-she-calls-acting-Duff?
Ever since Jim died, the show has been painful to watch. Not only is it a lame story, but it’s gross. Not in a fun way. In a “How can the writers think this is a good idea?” way. By the end of the season, they need to fix this. Make this a vision. A warning from those ghost people of what could happen if Melinda doesn’t stop meddling. Then, in the finale, she could decide to give up ghost whispering in order to protect those she loves. There. Neat little cliffhanger and a way to forget this horrible, horrible season forever.
The show can’t get any worse than this season has been. Besides, Duff is ten times more fun on screen than Hewitt.
