I smell a “jump the shark” coming. I mean, the rumored House/Cuddy sex is bad enough. But bringing Amber back from the dead? She’s a great character, but she’s DEAD. Don’t bring her back. Please.
Right now anything not involving 13 sounds like a good idea to me. The way SHE was handled made me turn of this show.
This is dumb because there’s no way to bring her back from the dead without destroying the reality of the show (unless we’re talking a quick dream/fantasy sequence, in which case, whatever).
Please God no. The show essentially jumped the shark when the old team was fired. Everything got messed up: House went from being funny to downright sadistic, Wilson got all wrapped up in Amber, 13 was introduced (worst thing to happen to the show,) and the House/Cuddy sexual tension was resolved (it should have been left as tension)
Maybe she’ll invade 13′s subconscious during one of her brushes with death. Or House will have another weird dream. Whatever happens, I just want Anne Dudek back on my tv.
I think it definitely has possibilities if done right. I’m thinking along the lines of the way they handled Kate on NCIS when she died. It wasn’t really a ghost of her, but it was like they were thinking of her, in the way they would see her. Like Abbey with seeing her in a gothic way, Tony in a more sexual outfit. Much like when Chase and Cameron, when they brought them back to Princeton Plainsboro; only this time it really would be his imagination, because of the guilt he feels. House really did feel guilty about what happened. It could be an episode where he has to deal with the guilt he feels. More or less the inner turmoil that he would so vehemently deny even exists. Although it does exist, he just doesn’t like to admit it’s there. I could see it happening that way without jumping the shark. And it would be within House’s character. feels guilt just like the rest of us, he just likes to believe he doesn’t. It would be him having to deal with it in spite of himself.
Didn’t you already spoil us to this fact that Wilson will finally completely get over her death soon? Then they are going to bring her back?
I doubt she will be a ghost, just a thought in someone’s head, but I still don’t like it.
I hope they kill 13 off, she is annoying me with all the screen time she is getting.
I think it will be either a flashback or a twin (a la Laverne/Shirley on Scrubs). Either way, as long as it’s done right, it would wonderful — hopefully getting rid of some 13 screen time!
Just have Anne put on a brunette wig and have her be an entirely different character that Wilson falls for as she reminds him of Amber. You can send my check for this fantastic story idea in care of my home address. Thanks.
If they did it short and sweet, like in a pertinent flashback, dream sequence, etc. it would be cool, but nothing drawn out. Her send-off was so painfully beautiful they shouldn’t mess with it unless they know exactly what they’re doing.
It is a REALLY bad idea.
Unless a brief flashback.
No twin, No ghost, No incidental look-alike, No No No
It will ruin all they have worked for, I for one would switch my TV right off House for good!
Please don’t. If you must do something for Anne Dudek, write a new series for her. THAT would be amazing.
why doesn’t abc roll some heads at grey’s anatomy??
This will ruin them, I don’t care how good David Shore is at plots and schemes, no one could pull that off carefully.
I am already two episodes back because of the Cuddy crap. House’s personalitly simply does not lend itself to this sort of interaction and it has ruined the show for me. A random outsider would have served this purpose far better than a fixture of the show.
Besides, my husband, teenage son and all their friends (who incidentally also loved the show) think Lisa Edelstein looks like a transvestite – that would lean more to the Wilson House hookup wouldn’t it
Nah, bringing back dead people and intimacy in any form with long standing personalities on a show which survives around tension – BAD BAD IDEAS, Shore is losing his touch.
It’ll end up being like flashback scenes, or in House’s head. Kinda cool idea as long as she isn’t actually back from the dead.
Or “I’m Ambers twin!”
