'House' scoop: Is 'gay sex scene' behind Thirteen backlash?

I’m annoyed by 13′s screentime and I’m not a homophobic. This is insulting.

I think that has got to be one of the stupidest things to say especially when this topic is already sensitive! If she seriously thinks that the only reason why fans don’t like 13 is because of that scene, she is seriously deluded.
Every scene is 13. Every episode is about 13. This show used to be about the medicine, and House’s interactions with everyone. We would get something different when House talked to his original team and now it’s just bland droning.
13 has seriously taken up too much space on this show! The writing for her is terrible. The acting done by Olivia Wilde is worse! TPTB pull the realism card all the time, so how are we supposed to even believe a character like 13 who is immature enough to hide her name for a year?! Nothing about her is interesting and everything revolving around her is just pulled down in quality because of her.
The only way to save the show is to get rid of 13 permanently!!

I don’t think its some sort of homophobic backlash. But I do think that 13 tens to have a bit of arrogance about her, and that is only amplified by the fact that she plays a “hot” bisexual. If she was simply a lesbian it would be different, but there’s nothing more irritating than someone so hot that no one from either sex can resist her. And she’s rather abrasive to boot. when was the last time you saw 13 treat someone nicely? I even feel like she’s using Foreman and their relationship will end badly… yup, I hate her!

I never watch any video that has Olivia Wilde in it, and this is not going to be an exception. But to say that…my gosh, that’s just plain idiotic!
I think she has to get over herself. To think that that’s the only reason to hate a character is stupid. Maybe she should look at the writing, or even better yet her acting! Everything about 13 is terrible.
I agree with many others, they should have canned 13/Olivia Wilde and kept the fantastic Amber/Anne Dudek. She definitely made things fresh and new and most importantly interesting!! Watching 13 is like watching paint dry! Not to mention that even a piece of cardboard could do her job!

Ever since they got rid of the original (and far better) team, and replaced them with these new wannabe clones, the show has gone down so much in quality. And the reason for that is constant pushing of 13 on to our screen.
Seasons 1-3 were fantastic! Brilliant even! Season 4-5 have been by far the worst of the series. The more focus on 13 in season 5 is making it even worse. I don’t know why Shore and Co want to give her so much screen time when 13 is a bland drone who is so monotonous and arrogant.

Knew they should have kept Anne Dudek instead of Olivia Wilde. At least Anne Dudek could act and carry a storyline. I cried and felt something when Amber died, I couldn’t care less about 13 in the hostage episode. In fact I was hoping that would have been her very last episode. But no, it was just a way to pull out more stupid storylines about her.

I love Thirteen, I love Olivia Wilde, and I think all you naysayers should stop taking every little thing so darn serious and embrace a little change. The show was going so great, so they made the decision to integrate more personal storylines, and it came at the right time, because the weekly cases, as medically interesting they might be, and no doubt about Hugh Laurie’s great acting at all, but it would have become too few for this great show to stay at the No.1 spot it currently has for many TV junkies out there. I don’t know why you’re so upset about 13′s storyline, I mean, what’s with all the Cuddy adopting-baby-etc. scenes? Don’t get me wrong I love Cuddy’s story arc but why is it okay to see her going through a personal thing, but oh my god no, don’t show what 13 is doing when she’s not saving lives! I actually think this show is more balanced than ever.
