Which do you guys want first — the good news or the bad news?
Okay, the good news it is: ABC Family has ordered additional seasons of Greek and Lincoln Heights.
Now the bad news: Kyle XY has been given his walking papers.
Although a rep for the cable net could not be reached for comment, sources confirm to me exclusively that Greek has been renewed for a 20-episode third season. Additionally, Lincoln Heights has been greenlit for a fourth season, although a specific episode count wasn’t immediately known.
Meanwhile, Kyle XY‘s current 10-episode third season — which debuted on Jan. 12 — will be its last. I’m guessing the show’s dwindling viewership was to blame.
Eulogies on behalf of the Belly Button-less One are currently being accepted in the comments section below.
On the bright side, yay for Greek and that other show I’ve never seen!

Well, I’m happy for ‘Greek’. I’ve never even watched an episode of those two other shows…
WHAT?!?!?
Kyle XY is one of my favorite shows! What will I do?
I’ve never seen an original ABC Family series.
Nor do I ever pledge to.
Although my siblings like Kyle XY, so I’ll break the news.
I loved Kyle XY. It was one of those mystery shows that appealed to teens, but still managed to be realistic/ I will miss it. Also, what is Lincoln Heights about anyway?
So I take it The Middleman is never coming back? Because that news hurts much more than this news.
Sigh… RIP Kyle. Another decent show bites the dust due to network incompetence. Seriously, with all the available programming how exactly do they expect to retain interest in a show that airs for only 10-13 weeks a year? Guess what, people aren’t going to sit around pining for 40 weeks, we’re going to find something else to watch.
Of course it doesn’t help that the show has lost the feel it has the first two seasons. It now comes across as a cheesy sci-fi show without any of the heart or drama that made the show interesting.
No more Kyle XY?
I love that show.
That’s a shame. Kyle XY was the only show left on the network I watched. Since they seem to have no interest in anyone other than the teen demographic, it is their loss of advertising revenue.
And I agree with the previous poster, the only other show worth watching on this network, Middleman, probably will not see another season, which is sad because it was one of the best shows on TV.
We, the TV viewers, can only assume with all the recent changes and cancelations there is only money in schlock. Why else would the networks insist on dredging it up time and time again?
the bright side about kyle xy is that now Matt Dallas can now move on to something better than the lame-ass writing they gave him to work with on that doofy show…hey Matt–get your lazy agent to work getting you some action adventure movies lined up…you have way-way-way more talent & potential than what you have been given to work with so far…how about an “Indian Dallas” “Raiders of the Lost Something” type series?
I’ve never had interest in any of those… I’m still heartbroken over the cancellation of Beautiful People.
Stupid ABC family. Kyle XY is the only show i watch! I tried watching The Secret Life but that is horribly written and is basically a raunchy version of seventh heaven and all the kids aren’t related.
i’m going to miss Kyle XY so much!
That network is run by monkeys. They totally mismanaged a wonderful show and now they’ve killed it entirely.
WHAT!!!!
Seriously!!!!
Kyle XY was my favorite show and the only good show on that channel. Now i have no reason to watch that channel.
R.I.P Kyle
Loved Kyle XY, until this season when he became an overpossesive stalker boyfriend.
Dammit! I love KyleXY! I sure hope they don’t leave it on a cliffhanger! It deserves a proper ending!
