This is terrible news :( I don’t know if I want to watch the show anymore without Alex and Izzie.

The show’s time is about up I’d say. I do love Cristina & Owen though… I wish they brought Owen in earlier, his character still has some great development ahead…hopefully the show can hang on for awhile longer.
Unfortunately the storylines for Izzy & George fizzled out long ago and the writers couldn’t come up with any good material for the characters…unfortunate, but time to move on.

this bites. i like katherine heigl. you know when your show is in the craphole when an emmy winner wants to leave.

i don’t blame if they both want out..izzie’s storylines are riduclous and TJ isn’t even on this season except for one line and 2 minutes..

I’m upset that Katherine is leaving, but not because I’m a fan of her character. I’m upset because I think it’s a sign that the show is starting to wind down. I am, however, genuinely sad to see T.R. go. His character is one of the most relatable and just nicest characters on the show. Or at least, he was, before the writers have him too lines per episode. Overall, definately not good news!

TR didn’t get Isaiah kicked off. Isaiah got Isaiah kicked off.

NOOOOOO!!!! My Alex/Izzie shipper heart just broke in two. They were the only couple on Grey’s I liked. I’m so upset!

Can we bring back Burke now? Sure James Pickens, Jr. might have jumped the gun, but I’m pretty sure this information is going to turn out to be true.

No Katherine no show. Despite the story lines she has been given her acting has been excellent and this is the final nail in the Grey’s Anatomy coffin for me.

How sad for them during these times. “Waaaa!! I’m not happy with my job. Waaaa!!! I make so much money. My life is so bad on this job that i’m famous and I make so much money.” What brats. They don’t know how good they’ve got it. I’d like to see TR do anything other than act whiney like he did in EVERY eppisode of GA!! Good luck.

Heigl deserves better and I am glad she will be able to make more movies. Who can blame TR Knight he has had about 2 minutes of screen time in last 6 or 7 episodes at most.

  • Lisa

Doesn’t effect me, I will still be tuning in to The Office and 30 Rock.

  • Allison

Wow. TR leaving comes as no surprise; his character has nowhere left to go story-wise. I find it hard to believe that ABC would let Heigl out of her contract early. Is she staying on as a recurring character? Have these actors never heard of honoring their contracts?

  • Can’t Blame Her

Good for Katherine! She can make more movies now. As an Emmy winner she could probably even get a show where she is the lead.

I feel really bad for both Heigl and Knight, this show screwed them over, their chemistry as friends together was the perfect balance to Meredith/Christina friendship and I wish the show had never ruined their characters, and would stop being obsessed with the romantic side of these characters and focus more on the professional and friendship aspects.
