Kathy Griffin takes on Jessica Simpson

Love Kathy. Thanks for any Kathy update

I love when she takes on how stupid the media is.

I was there and this quote, taken out of context, makes it sound much more mean-spirited than was the case. Kathy was clearly being fecicious and it was part of a long joking rant on how she loves any and all celebrity weight gain (what’s in the Wynonna diet pills…pancakes?). Clearly she was saying it all in good fun, not swiping at Simpson, and it was 15 seconds of a two hour show (which, I might add, was absolutely hysterical, start to finish).

Kathy’s the greatest! However, I wouldn’t mind if she were to take on Simpson’s hypocrisy a little more. She was fine with the Barbie Doll image when she had it, but now that she’s starting to look a little more like a real woman (still beautiful, but not that physical ideal), she expects everyone to climb on board her newfound religion against what she used to be.
If she’s a role model at all, it should be to all the other nymphets who are coming up who won’t be able to keep up that facade forever. Try to develop a little intelligence, or else you’ll be doomed to be known as the once-famous sex symbol who faded into obscurity after eating too much Chicken Of The Sea.

Kathy is such a one-trick pony–that one episode of Seinfeld over and over again. I don’t understand her appeal.
