'Housewives' scoop: Is Dana Delany next to go?

Desperatehousewives_l
Nicollette Sheridan’s forthcoming Desperate Housewives exit has renewed fears among the show’s cast that no one is safe from Marc Cherry’s poison pen.

“Everyone is vulnerable on Wisteria Lane — any of us could go,” co-star Dana Delany admitted at Saturday’s Independent Spirit Awards. “Every single person in that cast feels like their days are numbered. I think [Marc] likes to keep people on their toes.”

An upcoming episode that finds (spoiler alert!) Katherine and Mike (James Denton) embarking on a camping trip with resident psycho Dave (Neal McDonough) did nothing to ease Delany’s anxiety. “Trust me, I was worried the minute I read that,” confessed the actress. “[Dave's] clearly not right in the head, and he has already wrongfully accused people of crimes, punched people, and killed people. But it’s good because that sense of not knowing keeps the actors on their toes and it keeps the audience anticipating.”

To that end, Delany offered this cryptic tease about Katherine and Mike’s little wilderness retreat with Mr. Crazy: “There was a rifle involved, but I can’t say anything more than that.”

Housewives fans: Imagine you were Marc Cherry for a moment — which Housewife would you send packing next? Susan gets my vote. Girlfriend continues to grate on my last nerve. (Reporting by Carrie Bell)

    Kill Susan, Save Edie!!

  • Ned

I would like to see Lynette offed, she’s impossible to like.

  • time4bedlam

Kill off all the husbands and boyfriends and leave all the housewives to me! LOL

  • luvswans

Get rid of Susan After Edie. However, it could be interesting to see one of the wives guys get gone….

I really wanted to hate Katherine (Dana Delany) when she first came to this show ( I had never heard of her), but I’ve become quite fond of her. I don’t want to see Edie leave either but I’d rather lose her than Katherine. (Susan would be my preference to leave!) I’ve always loved the mystery every season, but this year with Dave I am not lovin’ it. He’s just creepy and the story has dragged on way too long. We need more Tomlin/Mcclusky on the case!

rather interesting that most of the posts are from guys about a chick flick nitetime drama

Susan grates on everyone’s nerves. Well I dunno how I can say that but what the hell…I’ll say it

I hate to say it, after loving Teri Hatcher on L&C, but Susan needs to go. Half of her scenes, I do something else, because it just grates on my nerves.

  • Dave

I could happily watch the Gabby, Bree & Mrs. McCloskey Show for many years to come.
The rest of the cast – completely disposable.

Susan, Susan, SUSAN! I have seen her progress (or rather regress) over 5 seasons from a lovable klutz to a lying, deceitful, cruel, thieving jerk. And why is she never shown illustrating kid books anymore, and why is she using Mayer as her name again, when that was her first husband’s last name? Send her packing. The role is a waste of Teri Hatcher’s talent.

  • Kurt

I want Susan gone. She’s been annoying me on the show since day 1!

  • JRose48

Kill Susan. She adds nothing to the show and I just sit there hating her when she’s onscreen. Nothing against Hatcher, but that character has become a moron. Go Kathrine! I hope she’s holding a rifle on Dave and saves the day.

  • Ginny

Oh, Ned. I agree. Lynette is by far the most annoying housewife. I like Dana, though. She gets in a few funny comments now and again.

  • CLee

Dana Delany needs to stay – she has become a great charactor on the show. But, I disagree with all of you “Susan haters” out there. Teri Hatcher’s character adds the “unexpected” side of things – what will she do next? If someone after Edie – goes -let it be Lynette since she has tortured enough people already – plus plain annoying!

  • Nikki

I honestly think Susan should go. It would be unexpected and it would provide more time for some better story lines. She doesn’t need to die, a big drama storyline to make her exit would be great!
