Gawd, I hope this doesnt become another pretty-face, 20 something, Smallville in space. Shoot me now if it does…

I,m so pissed so the actors hate there life
long fans and all they care about is more money
I thought that this could of brought in enough for them they did’nt even come close to finishing much of anything it dissapoints me greatly I,m looked up to the team alot and it was allways A
HIGHLY DEMANDED dvd at px stores in BAGHDAD I just dont see why they let there fans down

They hired a woman over 20? Good heavens! I’m not sure what to think now.
But one thing is for certain — they made a HUGE mistake in canceling SGA.

    Long Live Atlantis!

They’re cashing in on JJ Abrams’s Star Trek reboot (started way before SG: U was announced).

Yawn. I was a fan of the show from the beginning of SG-1 and moved on to SG:A. This new show is doing nothing to inspire me though. They’re stripping the SG universe of its sci-fi roots in favor of some bland dramatic reboot fit for a mainstream network. Meh.

I’m sorry, you lost me at Lou Diamond Phillips.
I loved SG1 even though I though it went for 2yrs too long. Got to love Atlantis & Hewlett/Flannigan & thought they deserved 2more yrs to wear out this cast configuration & the choice of Picardo to lead Atlantis was excellent.
I was weary of a soap/pr0n in space klike we got from execrable Enterprise & like everyone thought “Hey, if theyre doing Voyager who will be 6of9?” & while some choices for the new SG crew were obvious fluff, the Minj Na choice was subtle but effective counterbalance to the genial Carlyle who I still believe will one day be Dr Who (I still cant believe they gave it to Edward Scissorhands instead of Carlyle), I was ready.
But unless he is planning to be crooning some Richie Valens in the Lido Lounge of that ship of theirs, the choice of Phillips screams has been and cheesy.
How long till the first site dedicated to comparing SG Universe storylines to Voyager ones? (just in case anyone is interested!)

I will give the new show a chance, as I am a big fan of Stargate. but I am not optomistic. I think they should have kept Atlantis on. It was in it’s prime and I loved the characters.

I’m a huge Stargate fangirl, so I’m not going to spaz over this being Voyager Numero Dos. I’m intrigued by the addition of Lou Diamond Philips and am simply ecstatic to see Jamil playing a non-cartoon character. I loved him in Hey Arnold years ago.

I’m glad Stargate Atlantis is no more. Season 3 was a huge disappointment having that blonde woman return from SG. I could never watch SG due to her. She makes me want to puke. SG was a female sci-fi and SGA went female bring back that short haired blonde woman. Anyway, I have season 1 & 2 to watch whenever I want.

Lets think about this for a second. Why would the ‘Stargate powers that be cancel an absolute ratings winner of a show like SGA to finance an unknown? It just doesn’t make any sense. I for one do not believe this for one second and as a fan of the Stargate franchise and Science Fiction in general will not shout down a show that hasn’t even been made yet. I look forward to further adventures in the Stargate Universe and that includes the future SG-1 and Atlantis movies. Get real guys!

Stargate 90210 is right!!! I’m a huge Startgate fan and was open minded about a third series, but the cast and premise does not look at all appealing to me. I wasnt done with Atlantis! This sucks and I’m not excited for it at all… :(

the new show’s jumped the shark before it was even produced. why the hell ming na? (I couldn’t stand her in ER, either) she the politically correct choice, isn’t she? if they wanted ‘asian’, they could’ve done way better. the only one I’m really looking forward to is Carlyle. too bad they’re not “adopting” any SGA characters, I for one would love some more Beckett.

So the original idea for an Asian character on Universe as one of the main “young and desperate” cast was dropped and replaced with an older character who will probably be used as recurring while the two young central female cast are white. Plus we have a young male black character with the nickname “psycho”. Nice, very nice.
I enjoyed Atlantis and it’s characters very much and nothing about Universe’s concept says “watch me”. If anything, it’s really starting to offend.
