Why?????
This is such a good show and given the times it is always nice to remember the past, I just got my dad hooked on it too.
That’s sad, I was just thinking about the show this morning. There hasn’t been much buzz about the show lately, so I sadly figured it was going to get the axe. Too bad, it was really starting to get into it.
I’m having empathy mourning. I didn’t watch this show, but feel your pain. I still want to know if Dutch is alive, and, if not, who killed him.
This cycle just gets worse and worse. Networks won’t normally give shows more than a few weeks to catch on. So why are we going to watch them, only to be disappointed when they’re inevitably cancelled? But without us watching, the shows don’t get those instant ratings, so they’re only going to be cancelled more quickly. Shame on you, networks, for your lack of patience, and lack of commitment to your clients, the viewers.
I really liked this show — too bad! The only solace is a lot of answers.
stupid networks. tv could be great art, if you would only let the stories flow.
today, seinfeld would have been whacked after 13 episodes.
pathetic.
Once again ABC takes off a really good show. I’m tired of the “reality” shows.
Daises? Friday Night Lights(ish)? Life on Mars? What’s next? Kath & Kim?
seriously? i thought ABC was better than this, but all they have now is lost and scrubs. once those end…
i guess this is why the only place to get any quality (no matter how little) is at the movies
Damm, this was my husbands favorite show..and one of mine. It figures, is not reality tv so of course is cancelled. Too bad, outside of LOST we have been turning away from network tv and finding cable shows that are far superior from the reality dose we get each week. So long Sam, we will miss you!
That sucks. I finally started getting into the US version and it doesn’t survive first season. Back to rewatch of the UK Life on Mars, then.
This was a decent show but it was doomed from day one by the atrocious miscasting of Jason Mara. This show will forever be the definitive example of how a lousy lead can sink a show no matter how great the supporting cast is.
Damn you ABC! First you leave me hanging with who killed Dutch on DirtySexyMoney, then you leave me hanging with Pushing Daisies and now you cancel Life of Mars!? I LOVE this show. If I weren’t already so addicted to LOST, I’d completely boycott ABC. UGH!
Thanks to the LOST lead in, I’d begun to watch this and thought it was pretty entertaining. However, I forgot what we Lost fans make up for in obsession, we lack in huge ratings. Perhaps I’ll check out the UK version???
I highly disagree, dan. I think Jason O’Mara is great and he, Harvey Keitel and Michael Imperioli are the reasons I watch.
