'Smallville' exclusive: Two characters will die

Tags:

Smallville_lThe Grim Reaper is once again descending on Smallville, and this time he’s not foolin’ around.

Multiple sources confirm to me exclusively that two pivotal characters will bite the dust in this May’s season finale. And in a bit of a departure for Smallville, both deaths will stick. “These characters will die and they will stay dead,” maintains my insider. “This is the real deal.”

Of course, that’s not to say producers aren’t planning a twist or two, because they are. But I’m told those twists do not involve bringing either character back to life.

If you’re looking for another clue, you’re out of luck. I’m not even going to do one of those morbid charts where I assess each character’s chances for survival. I wouldn’t want to do anything beyond writing this spoilery story to ruin the surprises in store.

Eh, one more little tease won’t hurt anyone: One character qualifies as a Smallville vet… the other one, not so much.

Let the speculation (and prayer vigils) begin in the comments section!

I think it’ll be this year’s bad guy – Doomsday? – and Chloe. They had troubles getting Allison Mack to sign for S8, I think that this year, she told them flat out no.

  • Bethany

My guess? Davis and Chloe (sniff). Or, Tess and Chloe (still sniff).

  • melbye

Doomsday is ofcourse one of them. IS it possible that someone like mom Kent will die off-screen or something? If not it’s Chloe, there is no one else it could possibly be if the death is supposed to stick.

  • Mikw

How about Ma Kent as the vet?

  • Orac

And here I was certain Chloe was going to take a one-way trip to the future…

  • Meh

So obviously Clark and Doomsday.. they aren’t going to kill Chloe.. unfortunately.

  • Dave

I would go with Tess & Chloe myself … Smallville doesn’t tend to mess with the DC history toooooo much … and we all know what Doomsday ends up doing down the road …

  • Drew

Chloe is probably a safe bet given what Saturn Girl said in “Legion” this year in that they have never heard of her.
By nature Doomsday cant be killed, although removed is always a possibility. For a character who is not a vet… maybe they mean Davis as a character dies, permanently giving over to Doomsday? Mercy would be a good possibility, although that would be a bigger departure from the comics than they usually go for. With the exception of Pa Kent (who had a precadent in dying in the movie) every other character who is alive in the comics is alive on the show.
    So I say Chloe and…. ?

  • T.T

Davis is 100% sure cause he said he may not come back
the other wont be chloe IM SURE! they wouldn’t dare
either Oliver? or umm martian manhunter?

  • Morgana

Put my vote in for Davis/Doomsday and Chloe. And think it could work for the show, the story, and mostly, the budget.

  • elodie

I think to Chloe and Oliver. Neither Clark and Doomsday can’t die.

  • Martha

    two cents
    Tess and Chloe

  • Tucker

Clark and Davis. Clark’s death will mirror the Doomsday storyline from the comics and will be the cliffhanger to next season. And Davis will probably die. (Note I didn’t say Doomsday…)

I am possed at the PTB and want to know why they are ruining the best character and angering their biggest fan base by first turning Cloe evil then killing her off.
Like some one else said since the legion episiode stated there was no record of Cloe in the future and spoilers have her aiding and abbeding and even feeding people to Doomsday coupled with the earlier spoiler this week that Cloe will be on the run with Doomsday in the finale 2 episiodes. My only hope is that Cloe is being forced against her will to run with Doomsday and dies protecting Clark from Doomsday so she can go out a hero. How ever if Cloe is killed off permantly I will not watch next season and niether will any other true fan of the show so the CW has royaly screwed themselves over ordering another season.

Obviously the non-vet is either Tess or Doomsday but the other vet can’t be clark. They said the character would stay dead. Is this going to be Chloe’s final hour? Hope not…
