I am all about it, yet I believe they need to focus on other time periods like new jedi order or time prior to episode 1, And to all you haters out there go look at porn or something

I don’t understand how people can despise Star Wars. It’s a bunch of movies and shows and stories, for goodness sake. People talk about it like it’s smoking in public. That there are people out there so unhappy that they would want anything in the entertainment industry to actually fail is a sad commentary indeed. Star Wars had made a lot of people very happy. George Lucas, Lucasfilm, and all the varied substructures have employed thousands of people and made huge strides in cinematic quality, changing the way we watch movies to this day. Kudos to George for continuing to push that boulder up the hill. Naysayers are always around because negativity is the last refuge of the less-talented.
If you don’t like Star Wars, don’t watch. But don’t try to negate it. It’s just too powerful for you!

I think that a series filling in the period between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope is a cool idea, I hope that they are able to include some of the characters like organa & antillies as well as some of the other “fringe characters” from Revenge of the sith that form the backbone of the alliance, and tarkin and some of the others on the empire side, in more detail in the series. To all the folks that are talking down a series that has not even been released yet, why are you bothering to make comments about something you could care less about? that would be like me going on a Pokemon site to post comments??? just currious

I find your lack of faith disturbing….

I think Lucasfilm and Lucas are wasting their time on these Star Wars projects for television. But television is bigger today then the movies. Just make something in the Star Wars: Expanded Universe already or a project about the new republic era. In other words Star Wars: VII,VIII,IX is a must!

I grew up with SW & am glad George Lucas has turned the heat way back up again now that I have children to enjoy it with & who look forward to Sw &, yes, Clone Wars,as time together, on their own, no brain washing or anything. They knew I enjoyed it, but when it was refreshed, given more depth & background by LucasFilm, that brought them into it on their own & I couldn’t be happier. Something to share generationally that has value on so many levels, how can that bad? The man has turned a franchise people thought was a fade fast fad into an establishment that I’m proud to be involved in, even if it’s “only” as a fan & a fan family:) As for the series, it’s win/win. Dark Times, Rise of the New Republic.. if it IS either way, it’ll cover time periods we’re all interested in. Let’s just hope more concrete news comes out relatively soon to give our hopes on this focus:)

I would love to see the Expanded Universe Stories brought to the small screen (if not the big screen). The Coruscant Nights series would be a nice start as it begins soon after Vader comes to power. But personally I would rather see the series begin with the Young Jedi Series or the New Jedi Academy. It would appeal to a younger audience to see the young padawan’s being trained and challenged as they become Jedi Knights. Or perhaps the Vong Wars, a good mix of old heroes and new. Wherever Mr. Lucas decides to start it I will be sure to schedule it into my TV watching time.

If Lucas is writing then forget about it. As he proved with the last three “films,” he STILL can’t write or direct. lol
