I “found” these shows like 2 years go & caught all the old reruns on TNT to catch up on the running back story line, and love watching new episodes. i hope they don’t cancel them. As much as like some of the reality shows on TV these days, it seems like they are getting rid of real shows & replacing everything with reality…

I love cold case just started watching it at he beginning of this season…I would be very disappointed if they did end up cancelling it. I think as other have said it suffers from the lack of CBS sports not being able to end on time. Trace on the other hand is a show that I like but I would rather just watch the repeats on TNT though

I stopped watching WAT right after Sam became pregnant. It was almost like I could see the Jack/Sam thing coming. I honestly think that J/S was the Jump the Shark moment for this show. Very sad to see a great show turn into nothing.
As for Cold Case, love this show, but since they brought in Lily’s mom (and offed her), the show has seemed to stop being about the cases in the writing.
Now I know that people get upset when characters leave/are killed, but these are two shows that might have benefited by some character swapping over the years. Look at what it’s done with Law & Order and CSI:Vegas. They are still around and each character change brings something very new to how the cases go.
Unfortunately it’s way too late to save WAT or Cold Case. :-(

    Are you freakin kidding me?
Cold Case is one of the very best programs on TV! I dont know how much more I can take of quality being removed from our screens just to be replaced with CRAP !

  • Karen

You have to be kidding. They want to cancel two quality shows? Are they crazy. Someone talk to them and make them realize these two shows are the best. Get rid of sitcoms they are all horrible.

These are excellent shows. I think the rating system must be flawed!!! Otherwise we wouldn’t be drowning in reality shows, especially stupid shows like the Bachelor. Please don’t cut quality shows.

I used to watch Cold Case but dumped it after it was moved to Sunday. Like someone else said, not being able to get it on the DVR without overlap into the next hour due to the football pre-emptions killed it for me. And it was going up against Desperate Housewives and Sunday Night Football and it was always in 3rd place behind those shows.

i really love WAT…and am sad if it goes off..it has a great group of actors, but i do agree about the Sam/Jack thing, it just hard to swallow…liked her better with the other FBI agent..CC is also pretty good show..both are a lot better than most of what is on air now!!wish EW had supported them a little, they ignored them throughout their run

Sad news about Cold Case, but it’s an infuriating experience trying to keep up with this show. It rarely ever airs on time so I have to set my DVR to manually record 2 freaking hours to make sure I catch the whole show. There’s NO (legal) way to view episodes online or via DVD. The whole music royalty thing is just retarded. When TV to DVD box sets started to blow up, they should have been more careful to pick “cheaper” music. Sorry, if this offends any Cold Case purists out there. But whatever. CBS expects people to sit around waiting for Cold Case to come on “at some point”… and then provide NO alternative methods of viewing. In 2009.

The rpoblem with these types of procedurals is that they do too much personal stuff. i much prefer Law and Order (the original only)because they focus on the case. I used to watch WAT but when they started getting itno all the inter-office romance and who’s the father nonsense I bailed. Same with SVU.

Hopefully, reduced salaries can help save the shows. Going from $150,000 per show to say, $100,000 wouldn’t be bad. Some dollars to NO dollars is NOT a smart move.
Cold Case is a keeper, c’mon CBS, make it happen

  • Olivia Martin

These shows are great, as a part of an adult audience these shows are KEEPERS!!

  • Michelle

I think they are both really great shows.. just on the wrong nights..

  • Judy

I love these two shows, especially WAT with all the personal story lines. Jack and Sam are my 2 favorite characters and it makes the show great. Please don’t cancel! The straight case files are just BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING!
