The May 11 episode of Gossip Girl doubles as a pilot for a spin-off about young Lily van der Woodsen’s (Brittany Snow) raucous teen years in 1980s Los Angeles. But don’t go looking for her current flame, Rufus Humphrey, to pop up. “It’s not the story of how Lily met Rufus,” explains executive producer Josh Schwartz. In fact, he and co-creator Stephanie Savage are toying with the notion that Lily may have crossed paths with characters from their previous hit, which ended its run on Fox in 2007. The duo say they are discussing the idea of having teenage Lily interact with earlier versions of The O.C.‘s Kirsten Nichol and Jimmy Cooper. Our dream casting? Megan Fox as Julie Cooper!

That would be AWESOME!
this has been my hope and dream ever since i found out about this 80′s LA spin-off. they have to do it at least once. but i want to see more 80′s Kirsten, Sandy, and Julie.
if megan fox was cast i might actually pvr the show
If Marissa was fifteen in 2003, and she was the reason Julie and Jimmy got married, then she was born in 1988, which means Julie was dating Jimmy in 1987, three years after Kirsten broke up with him over “college choices” (unplanned pregnancy) as per “Case of the Franks” (S4). If Lily knew the early 80s prince and princess of Orange County she might not have met the girl from Riverside. (Isn’t this comment a bit frightening?)
I like Brittany Snow, but I think I’m skipping this spin off altogether.
If they decide to cross-in the Coopers and Cohens, I might actually tune in.
Lily’s rich parents might have had occasion to hang out with Caleb Nichol, don’t you think?
Can u give me a “Woot, Woot!!!!”
Can u give me a “Woot, Woot!!!!”
That would be so cool! I miss the O.C
omg i hope so!! I miss The O.C.!!!!!!
omfg, I’m pretty sure I dreamed of this scenario. The dvr is set.
that would be beyond anything i could ever dream about and if thats the case im definitely watching that spinoff
I think I just died and went to heaven.
My friends and I were JUST joking about this. Although, I think Sandy makes the most sense, since he is the one from the East Coast, no?
