Ratings: March Madness shakes up Thursday

Tagged:

With CBS’ coverage of the NCAA basketball tournament preempting juggernauts Survivor and CSI, competitors Bones, The Office, and 30 Rock all saw modest increases in viewership on Thursday night. Bones led the 8 p.m. bloc, narrowly besting CBS’s March Madness coverage (which averaged 9.7 million viewers that hour). Grey’s Anatomy and The Office saw gains over last week, while Hell’s Kitchen fell slightly, and 30 Rock picked up about 600,000 viewers. While down slightly from last week’s episode with George Clooney, ER still finished with its second-strongest showing of the season, but it still wasn’t enough to top Private Practice.
