Blind item: Big TV star is getting, um, 'bigger'

Tags:

Ausielloblinditem_lStrap on your blinders, kids! It’s that time again! This week’s head-scratcher is a weighty matter but hardly in an “OMG-those-90210-girls-are-skinny!” way. Rather, it concerns a drama series lead whose growing, um, profile is becoming increasingly difficult for the network to overlook.

Already, the star wears a girdle to conceal his expansive — and expanding — waistline. But apparently, it’s not doing the trick. So the suits at the network are planning to ask the show’s producers to join them in staging, for lack of a better word, an intervention. (“From now on, you’ll need a secret password to get into Craft Services!”)

So, who’s the Mr. Big who must always be shot in wide angle? Guesses below, but be nice. Too many correct answers might set off our mystery man on another binge.

Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock. Easy. Next?

  • Alex

It’s not Alec Baldwin… Ausiello says it’s a drama series.

  • meme

It said “Drama”. Only one I can think of is LaPaglia?

  • rebecca

I hate myself for suggesting this, but… David Boreanaz?

  • Justin Robison

I can only assume it’s Hurley from LOST.

  • andy

    Chief from Grey’s?
    I have no idea.
Why do they care so much if he is bigger?

  • Ethan Hunt

He said a drama lead – so not Baldwin – who actually looks like he’s lost weight since “30 Rock” premiered….
    Ummmm…..

  • Jimmy

actually it’s Chris Noth, how do you all miss that obvious clue.

    • julz

he’s not part of a drama series anymore! SATC is a movie now!

  • darren

Um, Greg Grunberg on “Heroes”? Matt Porkman’s girth has expanded regularly each season! Of course he flew last night! His new power is that of a balloon!

  • Snarf

    Eric Dane – Grey’s Anatomy

  • Catherine

Vincent D’Onofrio from Law & Order: Criminal Intent

  • laura

Vincent D’Onofrio from Law and Order CI plus Chris Noth just signed off that show and with the Mr.Big refrence

  • chase

I, too, think it’s Hurley. I love the guy but he’s put on a few this year.

Chris Noth’s one show’s season hasn’t even started yet, so although yes he did play a Mr. Big in the past doesn’t mean that this is him. and 30Rock isn’t a drama. i’m gonna guess Eric Dane from greys.

DRAMA Series – Not Alec Baldwin – although my first guess too…
Mr. Big – Nod to Christopher Noth (formerly of L&O CI) so could it be D’Onofrio – I have watched some re-runs lately (i know, LOSER) and he was WAY skinny back in the day…Still love him though…Goren is an AWESOME character even if he is 1000lbs…
