Jay Leno bumped in Boston: A serious break in NBC's dam?

ABC should’ve made a full-court press to get Leno. The majority of Leno’s audience will follow him. Conan’s humor and schtick will not work with Leno’s built in audience.

Way to go WHDH, Lena sucks and doesn’t deserve prime time. I never tune in to watch him.

Frankly, I’m not that thrilled about Leno everynight at 10:00pm. Not that I don’t like Leno, it’s just that other NBC dramas that I love will have no place to go. They can’t do an early slot because of adult content. I’d much rather watch these shows like L&O, etc. than Leno.

I’d rather see NBC create a two hour primetime schedule that filled in the blanks with reruns rather than new programming like this Leno show. I think in the end that would work better for them, and if thing ever did pick up for NBC they could slowly move back into a 3 hr primetime block again.
    I miss reruns.

How many more hours of news do we need each day? It goes on each day from 5am – 9am, then from 10am-11am the today show finishes up. The local news kicks back in from 5pm – 6:30pm, then network news from 6:30-7pm. And another half hour of news at 11:00. What is that 7 1/2 hours of news a day? Please, give me something to watch to get away from the news for a bit. I will be tuning into the other local NBC stations.
First WHDH gets rid of Randy Price, now that. I hope their 10pm news tanks.

Moving a network to another station has been successfully done in the San Francisco bay area. NBC was on an SF station for decades until they were outbid by an independent for the station and the new owners wouldn’t agree to renew the contract with NBC under the terms they were demanding. NBC contracted with an independent San Jose station for the NBC affiliation and people just moved from one channel to the other for NBC programming. It’s just not that big of a deal for viewers. Using the CW/UPN/WB scenario to state that this will be a difficult proposition is ridiculous. The three of those networks combined did not have the standing in the market that the the big 3 maintain individually. Moving NBC if necessary will be a simple transition for viewers. The ownership, on the other hand, stands to loose a lot.

Yawn. The Jay Leno Comedy Hour sounds like a dud. What was the point of him leaving the Tonight Show if he was going to stay on NBC but an hour earlier? Give us the Tina Fey Comedy Hour and THEN that would be something worth watching.

Boston has the right idea. I like NBC but Leno is a yawn and has been for years. His act is old and boring. Id rather watch infomercials or two hours of news than him. Im sad that NBC would rather keep that relic than try to salvage some new or current shows. In this age of a bazillion channels you need to keep people guessing and excited about TV. Leno hasn’t done that in years.

jay leno needs to lay it down

I was with Carson from day one and Leno is the best. Conan and the CBS guy whatever his name is are a bore. Stay jay Say!!

Enough with the cheap-a$$ programming already!!! This show is destined to bomb. Leno wasn’t that good at 11:30; he’s going to really suck at 10. If the networks are out of money – and apparently out of good ideas — they’d do better to air reruns of good classic programs than drivel like this. Thank goodness for cable networks. Broadcast networks are tanking fast.
