Filed under: Television and tagged: , , ,

ABC’S Dancing With the Stars won another Monday, with 19.6 million viewers, according to preliminary overnight ratings. The night also marked the premiere of Bob Saget’s new sitcom, Surviving Suburbia, which debuted to a nice 12.2 million pairs of eyes. Meanwhile, CBS scored the second-best numbers of the night with the NCAA basketball championship, which drew 16.3 million hoops fans during the 9-11 p.m. block. Over on Fox, Kal Penn’s final episode of House drew a healthy 13 million viewers.

It’s a shame that a repeat of Big Bang got more viewers than a new Chuck. Chuck is such a good show; I don’t get why it’s not higher. Not to mention why DWTS gets so many viewers. It’s not THAT good.

I watch both TBBT and Chuck, and right now I’m focusing all my energies on the show that hasn’t been given a two year pickup. Chuck is the other best show on TV besides TBBT. This is killing me.

I completely understand why Heroes has such few viewers( Heroes sucks IMO) but I just don’t understand why Chuck has so little viewers, it is fantastic!!

Univision out-preforms NBC most nights. It gets better ratings that highly, highly over-rated ’30 Rock’. Repeats of ‘NCIS’ on Ion (formerly-PAX TV) gets about the same numbers than ‘Kings’.

    NBC should have canceled heroes!!!

I am really sad that more people don’t watch Chuck- it is such a good show! I will be very disappointed if NBC doesn’t pick it up for a third season.

I was one of the people watching Surviving Suburbia last night. It was one of the worst shows that I have watched in a long, long time. The writing was absolutely horrible. The jokes seemed to be recycled from other shows which is surprising for the very first show. I am sure that the rating next week will be dismal and it will be pulled from the schedule.

  • save chuck

ugh nbc better keep chuck. i’m sure heros costs a lot more to make than chuck and the ratings are not much better. i really dont know what they can put on agains DWTS that will win.

Looks like Chuck got (one of) its best numbers of the season last night. Great! :)

Great Chuck last night — Scott Bakula dropped a Quantum Leap reference right in the beginning when he said “Oh boy!”…

How does a rerun of the Big Bang Theory get more viewers than a thoroughly awesome episode of Chuck! Is anyone else afraid that they are tying up loose ends to cancel the show at the end of the season?!?!?!

Good work to the Neilsen families for watching Chuck! Ratings went up from 5.6 last week to 6.0 this week, while Heroes went down 6.3 to 6.1. I think that says a lot about how great Chuck is. Looooove it.

I wonder if Castle will get picked up for next season, or if ABC realizes that the only reason why it’s getting good ratings is because it’s following Dancing With Stars. I hope they renew Medium, because it’s one of my favorite shows, and pretty much the only show I watch on NBC right now. (I’m gonna watch Parks and Recreation, and I’m hoping it’s worth it) NBC is in big trouble. It’s highest rated, now sports show is Law & Order: SVU, at just 10.5 million viewers. And if Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni don’t sign on for next season, it’s ratings will be obliterated. It’s in desperate need of a hit show to captivate viewers.

Surviving Suburbia was hilarious. Finally, someone stepped up to the plate to develop a traditional family sitcom. We loved it and hope the networks get rid of all the single cam non-funny nonsense. Castle continues to get better and better. Again this week we got a great opening sequence, witty dialogue, twists and turns in the plot and a well developed story. This is definitely a winner.

please don’t cancel Chuck! is getting better with every episode. The Chevy Chase and Scott Bakula in one show….genius casting.
The UK hasnt even started showing season 2 yet lol…why is it shown on a monday…surely that has to be the worst day ever to place a show like Chuck?
