For someone so interested in music, he does a great job in railroading this interview to be about himself.
BBT, that was great! You really had a first-class guy with too much class to ignore you or tell you to smarten up and behave on the run. Boy, I guess you showed him! You also showed the rest of Canada too: I illegally downloaded your album. Good, but far too drum-heavy! Oh RIGHT, I forgot who’s paying for it! The Drummer who is NOT an actor!
I like Billy Bob Thornton. I like the Boxmasters. They put on a great show in Austin last month. Having said that, BBT was a d-bag in this case. The interviewer asked not one single out-of-line question, though he tried a little too hard to defend himself. No, he wouldn’t ask that question of Tom Petty. So what? You made your fame through movies and you have to accept the terms of your fame. If you don’t like it, trade places with a laid-off auto worker who’d LOVE to answer questions about whether music is his second love.
BBT was dickish. The interviewer need not apologize. I sincerely hope it was only whatever flu medication BBT was on and that he’ll make it up at some point.
Full disclosure: I’m an American. Very close to Canada, but still American.
My goodness, you folks are easily amused. A nothing artist playing nothing music and saying nothing of interest. Who cares.
Hey, at least he has a catchy band name. I mean the box is referring to a tv set and he is an actor. He is a master thespian and debater – http://www.cutechristians.com
…and i thought he was such an amazing, talented, gifted, extraordinary man. boy was i mistaken. i felt bad for the rest of the group. for the bands sake….i hope he isn’t always that SELFISH. if he really cared about his bandmates/the group/the new cd…he would of did what he went their to do and dealt with the producers after the cd promotion was completed. though the video didn’t show them singing one of the songs off the new cd… i pray he didn’t mess that up too. hate to think the whole cd promotion was a complete waste.
I viewed the Q TV band interview with Billy Bob Thorton and his band. It is quite obvious after watching and listening, that there was an agreement ahead of time as to the subject matter to be discussed. Billy Bob is obviously pissed off due to the breach of this agreement; mashed potatoes and gravy aside.
I use to live and work in the USA. If you have ever experienced the USA, it is really like mashed potatoes with a lot of gravy. The excitement at events as big as a Billy Bob concert to as small as the local town football team is infectious to say the least. Americans know how to have a good time. As a Canadian with an American bloodline I would have to agree with Billy Bob Thorton. We Canadians need more gravy.

what a D-head and an embarrassment! I’m an American married to a Canadian, and yes, this is one more reason for Canada and the rest of the world to hate “us.” Another “big mouth” showing the world he’s above everyone else. I’m sure when (wig wearing Billy Bob, oh yeh, hair dosen’t grow back when you go bald) was staring his acting career, he would have sold his soul to the devil for anyone to give a s#@*! Well guess what? we don’t! I love Canada and Great Big Sea rules! Maybe BBT should go see them and tell me that Canadian crowds don’t care about music. They just care about “good” music, and your’s isn’t one of them! Lastly the intervewer was stellar in keeping his composer and not throwing him out of the building. He’s a class act!
BB needs to get himself slapped around by Unknown Hinson a bit–show him who The King is!
He should make a public apology. He looks like such a moron now!
Are we as humans able to read Billy Bob Thornton’s mind? Or do we just think we can. I have followed his career most of my life, and can say nothing negative about this fabulous actor.
