I think this show is great and has everything, beyond a cult classic, that a modern day audience could want. I, myself, loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer, though I know many of my friends did not (wierdos). This show, however, is beyond just Buffy fans folks. It has great mysteries to be uncovered(a murder mystery, detective style cat and mouse games, and top secret government agent stuff), it’s plausible, well written, full of action, and (best of all) has a strong and capable leading female character. Then again, maybe that’s why the big wig (bullshit) networks won’t buy it. Afraid of women are we? Even though I’m a Buffy fan (not just Buffy though), I like this show for more than just it’s writter. This time Joss has raised the stakes (no pun intended) and I’m very impressed by his (and those involed) talent in this show. If Fox is too blind to see a good thing when they’ve got it, I hope some other network picks this up and Fox ends up eating “haha-you-lost-all-this-money” dust.
WTF?!?!?!? I’m in LOVE with Dollhouse. You know what? I’m done with Fox. I love House and American Idol, too, but I’ll drop both of them if Fox drops Dollhouse. At least for AI, I can get updates via snarky blogs. But Dollhouse is a true EXPERIENCE. I’m very sad.
I was so excited when I first heard about Dollhouse, but some of my friends were pessimistic, remembering how Fox cancelled Firefly without really giving it a chance. Joss Whedon is the best thing to ever happen to television. His ideas are genius, and I am disappointed that the networks don’t realize this. I’ve decided that if Fox cancels Dollhouse, I will boycott Fox. Even though it means I will have to stop watching Fringe, House, and Bones. Dollhouse is too great of a show to be cancelled.
this show is far too good to cancel and has so much potential, far more potential than most of the tv shows on these days. Eliza Dushku is perfect and sexy, and her appeal alone should make millions of people watch this show. DONT CANCEL THIS SHOW FOX!!!
If Fox would stop yanking their shows all over the place and get to some consistency in their airing of new vs. repeat episodes, people might actually get into their shows. I’ve given up on Fox series, because I can never figure out the timeline involved.
Newsflash, Fox — not every show is a sitcom.
so i am starting to lose faith in fox, and if they cancel dollhouse i will have lost all faith. fox puts out great 1st seasons and then cancels them before they can be even better. but they keep shows that have lost it like 24, prison break, and their reality shows. I’m disappointed that fox wont show the next episode this show keeps me guess and isn’t like most shows out there were you can figure out what is going to happen in the first 15 min. Dollhouse should be renewed and if it isn’t…there will really only be like maybe one thing to watchv
I LOVE the Dollhouse. It was a little weird at first but that is because there is NOTHING else out there like it. Just when you think you have it figured out it sneaks up behind you and wham! I would hate to see them cancel it! Man! Was I surprised when the whiny tech guy was ALPHA!
Golly, there are sooo many great shows on FOX that they can’t be bothered to air a fresh episode of a great new series. Brilliant!
